- Jan Schmid was born on June 14, 1936 in Tábor, Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic]. He was an actor and director, known for Amerika (1994), Michelangelo Buonarroti (1976) and Ferat Vampire (1982). He was married to Jana Synková and Zuzana Schmidová. He died on June 3, 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic.
