- Attractive German leading lady of a few films in the 1930's and early 40's. Left screen acting and returned to the stage following her marriage to the director of the Metropoltheater and Admiralspalast in Berlin.
- Beside the film business she remained true to the theater and worked often at the Metropol-Theater and at the Theater im Admiralspalast of which her husband Heinz Hentschke was the director.
- The actress Hilde Schneider began her career at the Städtisches Theater in Baden-Baden. After some successful appearances she went to Berlin, the German stronghold of acting, where she made her film debut in the short movie "Postlagernd XYZ" (1934).
- She died untimely at the age of 47 in Berlin.
- From 1935 followed first feature movies and Hilde Schneider took part in some great productions in the next years.
- She didn't continue her acting career after the war and retired.
