Stephan Schultze followed his passion for filmmaking, cultivating a successful career as a director of photography, screenwriter, director, producer and showrunner. As a skilled and resourceful filmmaker, he has developed 12 feature films and two series. All projects acquired distribution through streaming, home video and/or theatrical release.
He began his career in advertising, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry. Once in Hollywood, he worked his way up through the ranks while learning the crafts from the best, including projects directed by James Cameron, Ron Underwood and Bryan Cranston. Schultze has worked in every aspect of the industry, including major motion pictures (The Abyss, Tremors, Henson Productions), television (Drew Carey Show, HBO, Showtime), music videos, commercials, industrial videos and independent films.
As founding Executive Director of two film schools, Schultze's empowering visionary leadership style inspires and supports others to reach their full potential. He developed and steered curriculum through accreditation at the community college and university levels. He has curated and moderated countless panel discussions and workshops with film industry professionals.
Schultze has realized his vision of building a studio style curriculum, as the Executive Director of the Cinematic Arts Center, Liberty University. He designed state-of-the-art facilities that meet all industry standards. Every year he gives students access to experience a full-scale production, to learn the crafts and business of filmmaking in a real-world model with professional mentorship.
He continues to develop content as a producer, director and screenwriter of inspiring fiction and narratives based on true characters and events. He holds a BA degree in Communications from Appalachian State, a MA in Leadership from Northern Arizona University and a MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University.
