BayView Entertainment, LLC have released the horror movie The Echo Game on Digital Platforms worldwide.

The Echo Game will arrive on AVOD Digital Platforms worldwide from 27th August 2024.

Dread Central says “Brian Feeney’s The Echo Game is a purely solid film.”

I’m not going to lie, the Axeman franchise is starting to get a bit confusing… the original film was released in 2013 and a sequel arrived a few years later under the title Axeman 2: Overkill. Then in 2020 the original film was recut and re-edited, making it – as filmmaker Joston Theney stated – a more straightforward horror with a leaner edit, new footage and new music. Originally set to be released under the title Axeman: Redux, instead it was released as Axemen at Cutter’s Creek.

Rachel Reilly: The film is reminiscent of a 1980s slasher film. It has a witty script and is really fun, action-packed, and of course scary. You're going to laugh and have to cover your eyes! It's everything you want in a horror flick! They take the killings to a whole new level.

DC: You play "Breaker" in the film. What can you tell us about the character? How does she fit into this world?

Rr: Breaker is one badass chic whose only loyalty is to a paycheck!

Dread Central: The producers, Joston "El Rey" Theney and Dr. Christopher Otiko, have been a little tight-lipped about the script. What can you tell us about the film?

Angelica Bridges: I don't want to give out too many of the gory details, but I will say they are going for more horror, if that's even possible. They will be taking the "killings" in the film to a whole other level of profoundness! People that usually don't ever cover their eyes while watching horror films will probably be starting a new trend after watching this film.

DC: You play "Dungie" in the film. What can you tell us about the character?...

You know, whenever I open my mailbox and find a package of DVDs from Planet Fury, I throw up a little bit in my mouth. "Why?", you might ask. It was a little over a year ago when Brian Feeney's The Echo Game was picked up for distribution by Mti Home Video, and now that it's available on DVD, the filmmaker has provided with a few new stills along with an update on how and where you can watch the flick.

Just what is The Echo Game? When a female killer is on the loose, looking for people formerly involved in The Echo Project, a secret experiment that tests children for psychic ability, the only thing she has to gain is their power.

Audiences might expect Anne Cassavettes (Judy Clement) to be the star. She does start off the film with a bang, and despite being a simple comic book style villain, her importance sets the stage for the rest of the film. This character comes through like an evil version of Professor X from the "X-Men." She wants to absorb the abilities of other telekinetically talented youths.

A Darker Reality began as a film experiment in 2006 called Dark Reality. Two years later, the film was reimaged and shot with actors Daniel Baldwin and Sunny Doench. Three years on and A Darker Reality is ready to be released to horror fans via a DVD release. The film follows a serial killer, called the Ghost (Baldwin), as he enacts sick fantasies on a group of women. We haven't heard much about Brian Feeney's The Echo Game since the first of the year, but there's been a lot going on behind the scenes of the flick -- such as acquiring distribution, cutting a new trailer, and prepping for a film fest fun. Read on for the details.

First off, The Echo Game was picked up for distribution by Mti Home Video and has officially been rated R by the MPAA for "bloody violence, some nudity, brief sexuality and language".

In addition, the flick will screening at the 7th annual Eerie Horror Fest (Pennsylvania, October 7-10), the 2010 Big Bear Horror Film Festival (California, October 15-17), and the 5th annual Spooky Movie Film Festival (Washington, DC, October 21-25). While the disc's will sport the usual widescreen format and English Dolby Digital and DTS-hd 5.1 surround sound, there are no special features listed for either the DVD or Blu-Ray release at press time. I gotta admit, when I first saw the trailer for Milla Jovovich’s “The Fourth Kind” I wasn’t really impressed, but the more I see of it, the more creepy this thing looks. A trailer for the Milla Jovovich thriller The Fourth Kind has debuted online. Director Brian Feeney provided Dread Central with an exclusive first look at the trailer for his supernatural slasher flick The Echo Game (see it below) as well as a piece of promotional artwork and a couple of stills from the flick, which is currently in post-production.

The film stars Alisha Seaton and Jeannie Bolet as April Reilly and Casey Lin, “a young lesbian couple who must protect their daughter (Melissa Lee) from rogue scientist Anne Cassavettes (Judy Clement), who’s on a murderous rampage to steal the girl’s psychic powers for herself,” Feeney says. “It’s low-budget but looks great (Jeffrey Waldron served as director of photography), and we got some great gore out of it, too.” Liliya Czarina, Angela Landis, Laurel Vail, and Robert McAtee round out the principal cast.

This morning we received yet more shots from Brian Feeney’s upcoming directorial debut, The Echo Game, this batch focusing on some of the effects behind the film, and producer Asa Shumska-Tait talked with us a bit about their approach to the film’s effects.

The Echo Game revolves around April Reilly (Alisha Seaton), who receives a letter from her former lover Rachel (Angela Landis), who was believed to have died ten years earlier. The letter and its urgent warning spark a chain of events that sends April’s life spiraling out of control.

For the past ten years, April has raised Rachel’s biological daughter Sarah (Melissa Lee) as her own. No one knows that Sarah is Rachel’s daughter… not even Sarah.
