- Pretty 1940s and 1950s Brit radio and film actress who started off promisingly in war-era films playing docile, ladylike co-stars but remained on the periphery of stardom despite the high calibre of her movies. Made six films with actor/husband Sydney Tafler, including No Room at the Inn (1948) and Once a Sinner (1950). Their daughter Jennifer Tafler also appeared in movies, and third child Jonathan Tafler is a performer.
