Don't go into the woods! Don't go into the swamp! Don't leave your house! These are some of the messages that you can find in horror films, but the new horror flick Creature wants you to leave your house for one special day - September 9, 2011. This is the day that Creature sears your dreams with terrifying swamp tales of death in theatres. This beast is part man and part alligator and thankfully, the locals have nicknamed him Lockjaw, for your amusement. You can face your bayou based demons with the first trailer for Creature below.
On a side note, Creature also pays homage to the 1982 classic Swamp Thing, while director Fred Andrews (Dark Ride) adds some more disturbing material, involving incest and possibly even symbolic bestiality. This is no smooth ride through the swamps and you will need all of your wits to survive this first harrowing clip for Creature,...

Here's a great video compliation of 150 famous movie lines and catch-phrases that we've come to know and love over the years. The great thing about movie quotes for film geeks like myself, is that whenever the moment presents itself we can always bust out a movie quote to throw into a conversation for a good laugh.
I will say most of these quotes are obvious, but it's still fun. The video below was created by David Balboa. Enjoy!
Here’s a list of each quote from the video, and who said it, from Balboa's blog Exophrine.
“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!”
- Beetlejuice
- Lydia, summoning Beetlejuice “It’s showtime!”
- Beetlejuice
- Beetlejuice, being summoned. “They’re heeeere!”
- Poltergeist
- Carol Anne Freeling, notifying her parents of the spirits present “Hey you guys!”
- The Goonies
- Sloth, calling the attention of the children he’s about to save “Good morning,...

Movie quotes are the currency by which we pay respect to our favorite films. We grab them out of our pockets at the most appropriate, or inappropriate, times, adding our love of a movie to an advancing conversation. Sometimes these quotes are insignificant lines you and your friends hold near to your hearts but, most of the time, these lines are the ones we all know and love. David Balboa, who runs a blog called Exophrine, edited together 150 of lines and catch phrases just like that into one, cool little video. Included are such diverse films as The Princess Bride, Rocky IV, Aliens, Toy Story, Die Hard, Citizen Kane and many more. Check it out, as well as the full rundown of what's in it, after the jump. Thanks to Balboa and his Exophrine blog [1] for this awesome video. And here's the list of each quote, and who said it,...

At 94 the legendary Ernest Borgnine doesn't want to be called "Mr. Borgnine," preferring "Ernest" or even "Ernie." Speaking in his signature gravelly voice, Borgnine is matter-of-fact about his achievements, still delighted and slightly awed that he has been able to make his living doing what he loves most: acting. He continues to be enthralled with movies, though he is no admirer of much of what is produced today and is dismissive about acting methods. "I learned to act by just sitting on a park bench and watching people go by," he says. "I follow what the author has written and take it from there. I don't have a method. You work with your head and your heart and then you create a character."Whatever his method—or perhaps more precisely, non-method—it has worked for him. For more than six decades, the Oscar winner has rolled up more than 200 movie and TV credits,...

With the plethora of sountrack CDs released for your favorite theatrically released features, the music to direct-to-dvd films usually fell below the radar no matter how they good may be. Thanks to enterprising label MovieScoreMedia at least one more score like that is saved from obscurity. Bill Brown's The Devil's Tomb already made it to the top spot of some soundtrack lists, so perhaps it's time to check out what the buzz is all about with its composer. A veteran of video game commissions, Bill Brown wrote this score during his summer break from his current commitments to the hit show CSI: New York which keeps him busy for the rest of his year.
How were you approached to do The Devil's Tomb?

Gooding, Winstone, 4 more in on the action
NEW YORK -- Cuba Gooding Jr., Taryn Manning, Ron Perlman, Henry Rollins, Valerie Cruz and Ray Winstone are starring in the action thriller Untitled Gehenna Project.
Sean Connery's son, Jason Connery, is directing the tale of an elite group of soldiers (Gooding, Manning, Jason London, Franky G, Zack Ward, Stephanie Jacobson and Brandon Fobbs) sent on a covert mission by a government agent (Cruz) to retrieve a missing scientist (Perlman) from an underground lab.
They encounter a priest (Rollins) who tells them that an "ancient evil" has been released, causing their greatest fears to come to life. Their former leader (Winstone) plays a pivotal role in uncovering what is actually taking place at the facility. Bill Moseley and Sarah Ann Morris play members of the compromised research team.
Former Universal Pictures head Sid Sheinberg, his sons Jon and Bill Sheinberg (Slappy and the Stinkers) and Steve Harris are producing the film from a screenplay by Keith Kjornes. Connery has acted in more than 30 films and television roles, and recently made his directing debut with Pandemic.
Gooding is repped by CAA and 3 Arts Entertainment.
