If you remember your history lessons, the word Pluribus is part of “E Pluribus Unum,” meaning the whole out of many, one. Vince Gilligan‘s highly anticipated drama, Pluribus, is set to challenge our perceptions about happiness and communal well-being.
This genre-bending drama features Rhea Seehorn, Carolina Wydra, and will also star Miriam Shor as a guest in the show. As per Variety, the nine-episode drama will conclude its first season on December 26, and it has already been renewed for Season 2.
But what does Pluribus even mean? Giving a completely different energy, Gilligan is taking the utterly confusing concept and flipping it on its head, turning the drama into something low-key terrifying. Let’s delve deep into what the visionary’s perception is about this Apple TV+ show and what it has in store for the audience.

Después, enfocan a un cartel que dice «sírvase usted mismo» y una cara sonriente.

"Help yourself! :)" Apple TV has finally revealed a first look at the new series from the creator of Breaking Bad, writer Vince Gilligan, which is ready to debut at the end of 2025 (starting in November). His new sci-fi drama series is titled Pluribus - the Latin word is an adjective that means "much, many" (used in the U.S. slogan "E pluribus unum"). There's still not much really known about what the show is about or what will be happening, but we finally have a one-line intro: The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness. Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn (who was in Gilligan's "Better Call Saul") along with Carlos Manuel Vesga, Karolina Wydra, Miriam Shor, and Samba Schutte. This sounds like it will be closer to something like Apple TV's hit show Severance rather than their other series Foundation (one of my faves) in...

Three years ago, it was announced that Sony Pictures TV had given a two-season order for a new series from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan – a series that was described as a “blended, grounded genre drama” that’s something along the lines of the classic Rod Serling show The Twilight Zone. Gilligan’s Better Call Saul cast member Rhea Seehorn followed him over to the new show and signed on to play the lead role… and now, finally, we know when we’re going to have the chance to see it. The show, which is called Pluribus, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, November 7. The remaining seven episodes will air every Friday through December 26. Deadline also shared a short teaser, which can be seen in the embed above.

Nearly three years after it was first announced, and following a few vague teasers from the principals over that time, some concrete details about the Apple TV+ series created by Vince Gilligan and starring Rhea Seehorn are finally available.
Well, a couple, at least.
For starters, the series — marking a reunion between the Better Call Saul co-creator and star — has a title, Pluribus (the “many” part of the unofficial U.S. motto “E pluribus unum,” or “From many, one”) and a premiere date, Nov. 7. Apple TV+ also released the first photo of Seehorn from the series, which is at the top of this story.
As for what Pluribus is about? That’s murkier. The show’s logline describes it as “a genre-bending original in which the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.” Cryptic social media posts from Apple earlier in the week read, “Happiness is contagious,...

A confluence of complications wreaked havoc on Younger Season 7 and significantly hampered the appearance of a main character.

For seven stellar seasons, audiences anxiously tuned in to see how 40-something single mother Liza Miller would be able to juggle her thrilling double life, with the recent divorcée pretending to be a 26-year-old, in order to find success in an ageist publishing industry in the smash hit Younger. Featuring the talents of Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, and Hilary Duff, the fun and quirky series became an underrated success with fans and kept viewers hooked from beginning to end, concluding its impressive run in 2021.

It's only been a few months since Emily in Paris season 4 came to an end, but I don't know about you... I'm ready for season 5! In the show's most recent two-part release, Emily began the season getting closure with Alfie before falling into an official relationship with Gabriel, and ended the season moving to Rome and dating the handsome Italian businessman Marcello.
Thankfully, Netflix renewed Emily in Paris season 5, which will continue Emily's adventures in Rome with Marcello. In spite of some legitimate questions, Gabriel will be back to seemingly fight for Emily, but we'll see how that goes for him. Hopefully, season 5 will begin filming soon for a release date later this year, but until then, there's a new show that's a perfect replacement for Netflix's rom-com.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Younger!
The TV Land comedy Younger, which stars Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff, includes numerous established actors across seven seasons, creating lovable and entertaining characters. The show follows a 40-year-old divorcee mom named Liza Miller, who lies about her age to get an assistant job at a publishing house. Younger built a large fanbase across six years, garnering numerous nominations at the Critics' Choice Awards, People's Choice Awards, and Teen Choice Awards.
Besides the wacky premise, the show thrives thanks to the incredible cast. Though Liza is the lead, many of her friends, coworkers, and love interests have the same amount of time and character development in Younger, making them just as enjoyable as the quirky aspiring editor. Luckily, the cast consists of numerous established actors and a handful of standout up-and-comers who make even the most hateable character fun to watch.

While Younger was just a little TV series that started on TV Land, it blew up to become hugely popular thanks to the pretty stellar Younger cast. Foster stars as Liza Miller, a 40-year-old divorcee who realizes she can pass off as a 20-something woman and lies about her age to get a job in the publishing industry. She then makes new friends but has to keep lying about her age to protect her job. Some actors have been in the business for decades, and some have lengthy resumes in the theater world.
Hilary Duff may have been the most recognizable name in the cast. Still, fans might recognize other cast members from projects they have been in, with Foster in the lead role and names like Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor in key supporting roles. While discussions about classic movies are often focused on the highest-earning, biggest blockbuster sensations in a given year, the quieter and smaller independent films are the ones that frequently shine through for years to come. But with hundreds of movies coming out every year, and more and more independently financed movies making it to the big screen, some great movies end up left behind or underrated.
The 2000s was a decade filled with excellent independent movies, bolstered by the boom in independent films of the 1990s led by movie-making juggernauts like Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson, Steven Soderbergh, and Wes Anderson. And while some indie movies are remembered as some of the best of the decade, some others that have been left behind should be at the top of film fans' watch lists.

The new year is fast approaching, and it's already time to start planning your 2025 binge-watches. Apart from all of the excellent new streaming shows set to premiere throughout the year, there are inevitably a whole crop of fan-favorite shows that find their way onto Netflix for an unexpected resurgence, just like Suits, Your Honor, and plenty of other recents hits.
In January 2025, Netflix welcomes a small handful of recent small screen favorites like TV Land's rom-com Younger and the newest spinoff from The Walking Dead universe coming to Netflix for the first time, and in another case, a time-tested hit procedural will see its earliest seasons returning after being removed months prior.

Emily in Paris is one of the best shows on Netflix and has been since the series premiered in October 2020. Since then, we've seen four seasons of the hit Netflix original series starring Lily Collins. The most recent season, Emily in Paris season 4, was released in two parts in August and September 2024, respectively. There's been a lot of talk lately about Emily in Paris season 5, which was announced via Netflix this fall.
Because this show is so popular and beloved and because we have so long to wait until season 5 premieres, fans are looking for new shows like Emily in Paris to watch while they wait. And, we don't blame them. There are some long gaps between seasons of Emily in Paris, as we've seen over the last few years.

Before has earned a career-low Rotten Tomatoes score for star Billy Crystal. The actor, who is best known for his roles in comedies including When Harry Met Sally, Monsters, Inc., and City Slickers, stars in the Apple TV+ series as widower psychologist Eli, who discovers that he has a mysterious connection to his newest patient. The Before cast also includes Jacobi Jupe, Maria Dizzia, Ava Lalezarzadeh, Rosie Perez, Judith Light, Itzhak Perlman, and Miriam Shor.
Rotten Tomatoes has now tabulated a score for Before out of 12 different critics' reviews. While it could fluctuate as more reviews are added, at the time of writing, it is a firmly Rotten 33%. This marks the worst Rotten Tomatoes score for a project with Crystal in a major role since 2012, when he starred in both Parental Guidance (18%) and Small Apartments (30%). In general, it is his worst score since 2016's The Comedian (24%), in which he made a cameo as himself.

There are two things I never thought I would say in the same sentence: “Billy Crystal stars in Before, an Eli Roth-produced psychological horror thriller.” While it’s refreshing to see Apple TV+ stream something more mainstream instead of the usual prestige projects that no one watches, this is a misstep in almost every way.
The series is poorly written, with disjointed scenes and weak tropes already filled with ’80s and ’90s thriller clichés. And when the story starts to trudge along, which is often, it throws in an inexplicable, dreamlike jump-scare cut that does nothing but cause headaches and a touch of vertigo. It’s only a matter of time Before the series sparks acute conversion boredom household-wide.

If the devil offers you seven wishes, use one to make them watch the underrated Brendan Fraser comedy, Bedazzled, which will soon be released for free on Tubi. Younger is a unique show defying genre tropes by not pairing everyone off for a 'happy' ending. Characters like Zane and Diana have unclear relationship statuses post-show, leaving fans to speculate. Liza and Josh's journey in Younger ends with a hint at a happy ending, mirroring their meet-cute moment.
Younger, as much as it is a series about friendship, careers, and making it in New York, is a show about relationships. Based on the book of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran, the comedy-drama ran for 7 seasons between 2015 and 2021, and focuses on Liza, a recently divorced woman in her 40s who decides to pretend to be in her 20s. Like many similar shows, there's a central will-they-won't-they love triangle in Younger, between Liza, Josh, and Charles and everyone starts out single and finds their way through various dating mishaps to a (hopefully) happy ending.
