Owner/manager of the legendary Comedy Store comedy club.

She studied art at the University of Wisconsin, but left to marry comedian Sammy Shore, whom she met at a summer resort where they both worked. Sammy founded the Comedy Store in 1972 with fellow comic Rudy DeLuca. When the Shores divorced, Sammy gave Mitzi the club as a way to lower his alimony payments.

While on her way to the hospital to give birth to Pauly Shore, she was yet undecided on a name for her child. She passed the Paulee Body shop and a Montgomery Ward, and that's how Pauly got his name.

She long battled Parkinson's disease in her later years and had been in hospice care before her death.

She grew up near Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Had two grandchildren.

She attended Green Bay East High School.
