Alexander Eaton "Sandy" Simpson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. His father, a traveling salesman, kept the family on the move, until finally settling in Newport Beach, California in 1963. His acting career began on a dare from friends to audition for the senior class play, in which he starred with Kelly McGillis and Lauren Mitchell. Best known for the Sci-Fi classic, V The Final Battle, he was a regular on Off The Rack with Ed Asner and Eileen Brennan, The Paper Chase with John Houseman, as well as numerous guest spots. An in demand voice over artist, he was the "voice" of The Martha Stewart Show on NBC for three seasons, as well as U.S. Cellular and GEICO. On camera he was the spokesperson for Shell Oil for seven years. He lives in Los Angeles with his family.
