Fans of the beloved 1986 action comedy Crocodile Dundee awoke to some sad news this morning, as it’s been revealed that Burt, the saltwater crocodile that became famous for his appearance in the film, has passed away at the ripe old age of 90 – or thereabouts. Inspired by the true-life exploits of Rod Ansell, Crocodile Dundee starred Paul Hogan as Mick, an Australian bushman who’s tracked down by reporter Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski) for a news piece on his legendary status, and then invited back to the big city in your classic fish out of water tale.
