Russ Smith's career started in the budding CG industry in Toronto at Side Effects Software before branching out to work in London, New York and various places in California such as Walt Disney Feature Animation and DreamWorks Animation. Past projects include Spy Hard, Dinosaur, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, Shrek Forever After, Puss in Boots, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Abraham Lincoln Vampre Hunter, White House Down, Snow Piercer, The Giver, Cloud Atlas, Night at the Museum, Into the Storm, and Maze Runner.
