It hasn’t even been three weeks, but Prince George is so over school!
The world watched as the cute royal arrived for his first day at Thomas’s Battersea in Wandsworth, south London on Sept. 7.
But it seems, like many kids, school is the last place the 4-year-old wants to spend his time.
“I just dropped George off and he didn't want to go," Prince William told a fellow parent during a visit to Milton Keynes on Tuesday, according to Hello!.

Prince George only started at Thomas's Battersea school a few weeks ago, but according to his dad, Prince William, the 4-year-old is already pretty over it. While at a royal engagement on Tuesday, William reportedly told mother-of-two Louise Smith, "I just dropped George off and he didn't want to go." The duke may have had an idea that the George would tire of it, as he made this remark after the first day of school on Sept. 7: "We are all seeing how long that lasts before he doesn't want to go." Maybe it's the strain of having another little sibling on the way? Prince William is keeping his poker face on when it comes to Prince Harry’s royal romance with Meghan Markle.
The couple of more than a year caused a sensation on Monday when they walked hand-in-hand during the Invictus Games. And William — being the good big brother he is — expertly side-stepped engagement whispers.
During a visit to Milton Keynes on Tuesday, William stopped by William Cowley Parchment Makers, which makes vellum for royal documents and for use in Parliament. Paul Wright, the general manager of the company, told William: “If Prince Harry marries Meghan then his certificate will be in our vellum.

After a detour into spy territory with “Cars 2,” Pixar gets back on track with another animated mid-life crisis movie. “Cars 3” finds champion Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) struggling past his prime and channeling the late Paul Newman’s sagacious Doc Hudson from “Cars” for a comeback.
The filmmakers were able to use outtakes from John Lasseter’s “Cars” recording sessions with the late Newman for the sequel’s flashbacks. Fortunately, the director left the mic on the legendary actor and celebrated race car driver, who had a lot more to say than his lines. Newman would regale them with anecdotes, play practical jokes, and often utter, “That’s not racing!” They added some of his ad libs in “Cars 3.”
In a clever reversal of “The Color of Money” riff from the first movie, McQueen plays mentor to trainer and wannabe racer Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) in a bid...

Liz Doran.
Screenwriter Liz Doran has written for The Secret Life of Us, McLeod.s Daughters, Miss Fisher.s Murder Mysteries, Dance Academy and Please Like Me.
She speaks to Jackie Keast about Gender Matters and upcoming projects..
How did you get your start as a writer?
Well, I did it the classic long way of making sure I was an expert before I put myself forward (laughs). I left school in the early 90s and actually trained as a film editor, but I always only ever wanted to be a writer. After I finished film school I did the usual thing: I applied for a lot of development [funding] for early drafts and I tried to get Screen Nsw funding for things. I was quite lucky; there was a funding round through the F.T.O., the precursor to Screen Nsw, and they funded development on a series of 50-minute scripts.

Australian producers increasingly are looking to international co-productions as one solution to the difficulty of raising finance at home.
Producers say the .soft. money available for co-pros with Canada and Europe will help to compensate for the very low minimum guarantees offered by Australian distributors.
Another advantage, they say, is the improved chances of securing marquee cast for films shot in part or completely in Canada and Europe.

Lionsgate currently has a powerful female led franchise in the form of The Hunger Games with Jennifer Lawrence, and now they're working on a true life drama that will give another powerful female the spotlight on the big screen. Deadline report Lionsgate and Odd Lot Entertainment have picked up a pitch called Spitfire from up and coming writer Grant Thompson (scripting the Kevin Costner sports film McFarland), a film that looks at the life of Louise Smith, a rebellious woman who broke onto the stock car racing circuit back in the 1950s, paving the way for females to enter the fast-paced, male-dominated sport. Smith came to be known as the First Lady of Racing as she followed her dreams of racing all the way to Daytona, and even became an integral part of landing the funding for the racing organization that would become Nascar after World War II. With a fanbase in the trillions . at least that.s what it seems like . the sport of Nascar is barely present in the history of cinema outside of a few obvious examples, especially when compared to movies about major league baseball and other sports organizations. And with Ron Howard.s Formula 1 .centered Rush recently gaining much critical acclaim (not to mention tons of money at the foreign box office), it.s no surprise that Nascar is now getting behind its own origin story, Spitfire, which was recently acquired by Lionsgate and OddLot Entertainment, who is also behind Ivan Reitman.s upcoming NFL comedy Draft Day. Based on a pitch from actor/writer Grant Thompson, Deadline reports Spitfire will cover the strong female presence in the early years of Nascar, which was created after World War II by Florida businessman Bill France Sr. The film will follow Louise Smith, often called...

Exclusive: Lionsgate and Gigi Pritzker’s Odd Lot Entertainment has acquired Spitfire, a pitch by Grant Thompson to tell the fact-based story of Louise Smith, a rebellious firebrand who takes the stock car racing scene of the 1950s by storm with her steadfast driving skills and changes the fate of racing forever. Female drivers were surprisingly instrumental in the founding of Nascar just after WWII. A forgotten forerunner of contemporary female drivers like Danica Patrick, Smith was the quintessential small-town girl with big dreams who smashed through the gender preconceptions of the time to ultimately race at the famed Daytona Beach road course and helped secure the initial funding for what would become the billion-dollar sports giant Nascar. Nicky Weinstock of Invention Films is producing. Nascar is exec producing. Nascar holds the key to a vast potential racing audience, but it is stingy about the films it gets involved in.

Screen Australia has granted more than $276,000 in funding to support the development of 10 feature films, including projects by the co-writer of local smash The Sapphires and the team behind Wish You Were Here.
It is a small financial lifeline for the industry which is no longer receiving drama production investment from the national government agency after it spent its entire annual $42 million budget in just six months.
Among the new feature film projects to receive funding is comedy-drama The Grip, written by Tony Briggs (The Sapphires). It follows five young Australian businessmen who discover the secret to winning the pokies and develop Robin Hood-like reputations. David Field (The Combination) will direct.
Writer Felicity Price and director Kieran Darcy-Smith (Wish You Were Here) have also received funding to develop a new (as yet) untitled thriller. It follows social misfit Vincent, who holds a flame for 17-year-old Amber, but when his hopes are crushed he acts impulsively,...

Apparition has acquired North American rights to thriller "The Square," the first feature from Australian stuntman-turned-director Nash Edgerton.
His brother Joel Edgerton stars in the tale of an adulterous couple involved in arson, blackmail and murder. Joel, who most recently appeared off-Broadway as Stanley Kowalski opposite Cate Blanchett in "A Streetcar Named Desire," co-wrote the screenplay with Matthew Dabner.
Apparition will release the film April 9 with Nash's short film "Spider."
"It was the short film 'Spider' that interested me in Nash," Apparition CEO Bob Berney said. "Popular at festivals all over the world, it signals the mood for the appropriately shocking and wickedly humorous follow-up feature 'The Square.' "
"Square," produced by Louise Smith, is a Screen Australia in association with the Screen New South Wales presentation of a Film Depot production in association with Blue-Tongue Films. Pathe International handles international sales.

Dustin O'Halloran Virtuoso classical pianist/composer Dustin O'Halloran, also half of '90s art-rock duo Devics with Sara Lov, was born in Los Angeles in 1971. O'Halloran's music training started at the age of 7. Uprootedness and early sorrow stole him from his piano, which remained untouched for over a decade, until he met Lov and formed Devics in 1996. O'Halloran's collaborations include Spoon, Soulsavers, Dustin Hoffman, and most recently William Olsson. With rushes of style and mystique, O'Halloran's work represents a sound that wraps itself into the future and the past in one breath. A truly elegant artist.
