- Dated Yoko Ono during her separation from John Lennon in 1973 and 1974; encouraged her to completely cut herself off from Lennon, and left when she refused. Spinozza didn't hear from Ono for years, until after Lennon's murder, when she asked him to sign off on "It Happened", which they'd recorded together, and she now wanted to release as a Lennon tribute. (A coda was added to the 1974 recording, featuring the band from "Double Fantasy".)
- Worked with Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney on their 1971 "Ram" album, and later with John Lennon and Yoko Ono on 1973's "Feeling The Space" and "Mind Games", and Ono's "A Story" (not released until the 1990s) in 1974. Was nervous about Lennon's discovering he'd already worked with McCartney; Lennon's only comment when he did find out was that McCartney "knew how to pick good people."
