Charley has directed more than 200 commercials for some of the biggest global brands in the world like Microsoft, McDonalds, Toyota, Snickers, Adidas, Ford, Allianz, Garnier and Porsche. He has received well over 100 international directing awards, including Cannes, Epica, ADC, Bessies, ICAD, Golden Drum and numerous Gold medals and throughout his career has worked with numerous A-list actors.
In 2016, Filestage named Charley one of the 50 top commercial directors of all time. Charley also directed the $15 Million feature film "Dead Fish", starring Oscar nominees Gary Oldman (Dracula, 5th Element) and Terence Stamp (The Limey, Superman), as well as Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting,The Full Monty, James Bond) and Spanish actress Elena Anaya (Almodovar's - In the Skin I live in).
Charley received a Masters Degree in visual communications. He began his career shooting for magazines such as Face and MAX (Covers) for brands like Big Star Jeans and bands like Metallica. Soon thereafter, Charley's first short ACHT won the Goethe Institute for best German film. "Who's Who" lists Charley in its book of most influential creative people and in 2017, he became a jury member for the UK Casting Directors Association.
