The Hangover actor Brody Stevens‘ cause of death has been confirmed as suicide.

The 48-year-old comedian — who was found dead in Los Angeles on Feb. 22 — hanged himself, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ.

The document stated that Stevens’ history of mental illness was a contributing factor. The star, who had been open about his struggles with mental health previously, suffered from depression and bipolar disorder, according to the certificate.

Stevens, who was born Steven James Brody, died at his Valley Village home last month just before 1 p.m., the certificate states.

Stevens appeared as Officer Foltz in the 2009 comedy The Hangover.

With Hannibal Buress,” “Chelsea Lately,” “Who Gets The Last Laugh?,” and “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.

Funny or Die is expanding its TV slate with a new untitled sports docu-series that features strength and conditioning coach Mike Barwis and a rotating cast of pro athletes. The mockumentary series follows Stevens as he spoofs himself in a day-in-the-life look at a comedian's struggles or whatever. Galifianakis co-wrote and co-created, and is attached to guest star. Word that Tom Bosley passed away at the age of 83 hit Twitter-Wood this afternoon. TV's father from "Happy Days," Father Dowling of "Father Dowling Mysteries" and the voice of David the Gnome, Bosley showed up in the tweets of Neil Patrick Harris, James Gunn and Michael McKean today.

In other posting, the feed got hit with a rush of photos in the last 24 hours. Jessica Alba showed herself getting ready for some "Spy Kids 4" action, while Steve Agee was palling around with Brody Stevens and Aasif Mandvi got in the shower with his clothes on. Someone finally stood up in Twitter-Wood Tuesday to counter Brett Ratner's rave reviews of "Catfish." You'll have to read on down to find out who it was, but the Monday-Tuesday window in our feed turned out to be a popular one for the critics to show up.

The first episode of the new "Hawaii Five-0" series caught some attention and at least one comparison to "Con Air," while Bristol Palin had fellow flyers clamoring to watch "Dancing With the Stars" at the airport where Patton Oswalt was hanging out. Nestled in the foothills of northern California, the Nevada City Film Festival has evolved from a locals-only fest into a four-day international smorgasbord of short films, plus a couple of features thrown in for good measure. There’s also filmmaking panels, award ceremonies, a live comedy show and some very special guests.

This year, Ncff welcomes Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of the Adult Swim hit Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! On the 21st, they’ll be screening a very special selection of shorts and music videos from the show.

The features they’re screening are Brett Haley’s The New Year, which stars indie breakout actress Trieste Kelly Dunn (Vacation!); Stuck! by underground bad boy director Steve Balderson; and the innovative animated film Mars, directed by Geoff Marslett, who way back in the day (1999) directed the underground music video Monkey vs. Robot for James Kolchaka.

Emmy nominations for "Lost" may have exceeded those by other programs, save "Glee" and "The Pacific," but posts in Twitter-Wood today didn't care about the numbers. Some folks congratulated their friends, and others, like Conan O'Brien and Steve Agee, offered more sarcastic, bittersweet responses.

Feelings about LeBron James' hour-long Espn special and his prolonged decision over which NBA team to play with next season tended to be quite a bit more unanimous, meanwhile. The latest trailers for "Eclipse" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" have given several faces in Twitter-Wood something to post about this week. Apparently even those who were on set for the newest "Twilight" film can still be made to scream when they see their work in motion.

I don't know how much weight you should necessarily give to James Urbaniak's commentary on Al and Tipper Gore's reported break-up, but the topic has been trending on Twitter this afternoon, and the "Venture Bros." actor claims to know who the former Vice President will be visiting soon.

On the movies front, the new "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" trailer has been turning some heads. Director Edgar Wright has a few accomplishments displayed therein which he hopes you'll appreciate. You may also appreciate another look at the "Smurfs" set which showed up in Sofia Vergara's feed, as well as shots of "Twilight" actress Christian Serratos kissing a tiny animal and a Weezer band member caught in the wild.

Not since Frankie Muniz's visit to a Jonas Brothers concert last August have the lads appeared in a Twitter Pic of the Day, but Danny DeVito contributed a true masterpiece today — and one that will surely please foot fetishists the world over.

On a more serious note, you probably all know by now that former Black Sabbath frontman Ronnie James Dio passed away yesterday. If you didn't know that a Star Trek movie screenwriter was nominated for a Tony this year, you do now. Brent Spiner pointed out in Twitter-Wood today that "Red" playwright John Logan also wrote the story for "Star Trek: Nemesis." The other big "Star" franchise got some attention too, with numerous posts celebrating Star Wars Day.

Kim Kardashian was happy to hear that a suspect was in custody regarding the attempted Times Square boming in New York, while Tom Hanks was content just to be on his new film's set ten minutes early.
