The artistic director of the Rose Theatre in Kingston, Surrey, wanted to discuss a role he had in mind for her – hoping to lure her back to British theatre after all the time she had spent on Us TV (Nip/Tuck) and in the movies (Anonymous, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo).
