She acted in Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall's play, "Celebration," at the Duchess Theatre in London, England with James Cossins, Colin George, Morgan Sheppard, Michael Williams, Carole Mowlam, Thelma Barlow, Jeremy Kemp, Antony Tuckey, Rowena Cooper, Donald Burton, and Robert Lang in the cast. Val May was director.
One of the few actresses to use her married name professionally, as she did from the time she married John Stride in 1958. The marriage broke up after a little over a decade, but she still continued to call herself "Stride" instead of reverting to her maiden name of "Thomas", which she had used previously.
