Julian Strøm(1901-1992)
- Actor
The grand old man of Norwegian puppet theater. Started as an actor back
in 1920, at a small theater in Oslo called the Mayol-teatret.
Later he came to the theater in Stavanger, where he was one of the founders of the children's theater, and also as an actor he concentrated his work on recitals for children.
From 1953 he became leader of the puppet section at Folketeatret in Oslo, and from 1959 to 1965 he had the same position at Oslo Nye Teater.
His first film role was in a silent movie in 1921: "Felix" where Strøm played the title role. Over fifty years later he made some fine appearances, most notably as the old Johannes Bakken in the film: "Anton" from 1973.
