The new action thriller, The Caretaker is Fady Jeanbart’s feature film directorial debut and is a co-production between Millman Productions, Pyramax Productions, Babe Entertainment, Triple Origin Productions LLC, and Ron Lee Productions.

Millman Productions run by industry veteran Jeff Miller. Jeff is an active producer with over 30 years in the business. The Caretaker is his forty-second feature as a producer. Filming is currently under way in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The film stars Avaryana Rose, Robert Bronzi, Daniel Baldwin, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Paul Logan.

Executive producers are Tareq Salah, Paul M. Gahng Jr., Ashvat Shivaram Shetty, Ronnie D. Lee, and Brandon Gibbs. Co-producer is Robert Savakinus. Consulting producer is Dylan Matlock. Paul Logan is fight coordinator. Michael Su is director of photography. Nancy Foster is production designer.

The Caretaker follows the quiet, reclusive caretaker (Bronzi) of a ghost town tourist attraction closed for the offseason who has to protect a young woman (Rose) from violent killers intent on kidnapping and taking her to a ruthless crime boss (Baldwin). The Asylum is back with another bit of “mockbuster” cinema” here in early 2024, with Snow White and the Seven Samurai released onto Digital outlets this past weekend.

In director Michael Su’s Snow White and the Seven Samurai, “Left for dead by her rich and powerful stepmother, Snow White is taken in by a team of assassins – The Seven Samurai, who train her in their ways of fighting. The crossover you didn’t know you needed, The Asylum’s Snow White and the Seven Samurai combines a beloved fairytale and an epic classic in a new action movie now available digitally. So move over, Rachel Zegler, before you get disemboweled by a katana!

Here is the official plot of Snow White and the Seven Samurai: “Left for dead by her rich and powerful stepmother, Snow White is taken in by a team of assassins – The Seven Samurai, who train her in their ways of fighting. As her stepmother becomes more and more powerful, Snow White and the samurai take up arms to topple her once and for all.”

The trailer asks, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who kicks the most ass of them all?” That may not be Snow White but rather Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, whose name and face get the most space on the movie’s poster.

Michael Su’s 2023 film, Bloodthirst, is about a vampire hunter who earns his bread slaying vampires in a post-apocalyptic world. This world is overrun by vampires and is controlled mainly by two factions, who are always at war. As for humans, they remain few in number. As a result, both factions of the blood-sucking beasts are on the brink of extinction, owing to both starvation and the growing threat of vampire hunters who’ll do anything to free this world from these demons. The vampires, on the flip side, often infiltrate human populations in large numbers to drain them of their blood and increase their numbers. As a fallout, they are in continuous dispute with their human counterparts. Those who’re lucky die, and those who aren’t, usually end up joining their flock. They aren’t like the usual vampires we see in the movies, who only poke at night to fill their bellies.

This year they’re revisiting the apocalypse, only in Bloodthirst the threat comes from a different strain of the undead, vampires. Interestingly, both films were directed by Michael Su and written by Adrian Milnes this time with a story credit to Massimiliano Cerchi

Those mockbuster makers at The Asylum are at it again. When the first live-action Transformers movie was released back in 2007, The Asylum got in on the giant robot action by releasing a movie called Transmorphers. The Transformers sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen followed in 2009 – so The Asylum responded with the Transmorphers prequel Transmorphers: Fall of Man. Since then, the Transformers franchise has continued to grow. There was Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, Transformers: Age of Extinction in 2014, Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017, and the spin-off prequel Bumblebee in 2018. Another prequel, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, is in theatres right now. And while The Asylum has let several Transformers movies come and go without meeting them with a Transmorphers mockbuster, this year they’re finally reviving the franchise with Transmorphers: Mech Beasts! Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar, an action-packed sci-fi adventure movie from Garo Setian, director of the sci-fi thriller Automation (watch it Here, read our review Here), is set to receive a theatrical release on April 21st, with a digital release to follow on May 2nd. Bridge of the Doomed certainly can’t be accused of being a slow burn. Within the first few minutes, an army base comes under attack, and a group of civilians is overrun and eaten by zombies. And there’s no hesitation to put the bloody results on the screen. This is the zombie apocalypse 80s style, except it isn’t badly dubbed into English.

After the opening attack, General Vasquez sends a squad led by Lt Whitmore and Sgt. Hernandez to hold a bridge or destroy it in necessary, while they wait for reinforcements to arrive. Getting those reinforcements falls to the ominously named Colonel Charon.

Previously titled Numb3rs, this film involves a sinister executioner, who picks his victims based on how many social media likes they gain, or do not gain. This feature is being developed by productions houses: Mahal Empire and Blaen-y-Bootleg Films. Also, this title includes a huge gathering of exectuvie producers, including: Jon Adams (Black River), Robert Dujmusic (Lockdown), Wesley Cannon (Bloodthirst) and  Mem Ferda (The Devil's Double) and dozens of others. Bloodthirst is a vampire film, set in a post-apocalyptic environment. This indie thriller is co-produced by companies: Mahal Empire and Blaen-y-Bootleg Films. MiTu is not slowing down anytime soon in terms of growth. The Hispanic multi-channel network, which has a new series deal with NBC Universo, has hired Michael Su as the new Vice President of Product, and also announced an impressive new technology platform in the works.

Su comes to MiTu with plenty of product development and leadership experience. Su previously served as the head of product at Upworthy; before that, the executive was VP of product at Break Media. At MiTu, the new VP will head up the Spanish-leaning network’s product department and aim to expand its overall offerings.

Su will also work on MiTu’s upcoming technology platform alongside MiTu Chief Technology Officer and founder of app company Lightt Alex Mostoufi. The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper stars Tommie Vegas, Shane Ryan, and Brittany Bochart. It's written by Cynthia Curnan, shot by Michael Su, and produced by Su and Curnan with music and sound design by Tony Riparetti.

The film is about a young woman name Cheryl Cooper (Vegas), who wakes up in what she believes is an interrogation room in a police station. She is interrogated by Detective Ben (Ryan) about being found at an unfinished Las Vegas hotel where there was a mass killing.

Albert Pyun's one take horror film Invasion was actually pretty bitchin', and now the filmmaker's getting set to do it again on his latest flick, The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper.

Shooting at 4k and 3D with 7.1 soundtrack, the flick will star Tommie Vegas, Shane Ryan, and Brittany Bochart. Filming starts this Friday (March 21) at the Indie Film Factory Stage in Las Vegas, Nevada.
