Kôhei Sugiyama was born on 23 June 1899 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Kan no maî (1925), A Page of Madness (1926) and Tsukigata Hanpeita: Hana no maki; Arashi no maki (1956). He died on 21 February 1960.
