Brace yourselves. This list of the Top 100 Greatest Gay Movies is probably going to generate some howls of protest thanks to a rather major upset in the rankings. Frankly, one that surprised the hell out of us here at AfterElton.
But before we get to that, an introduction. A few weeks ago we asked AfterElton readers to submit up to ten of their favorite films by write-in vote. We conducted a similar poll several years ago, but a lot has happened culturally since then, and a number of worthy movies of gay interest have been released. We also wanted to expand our list to 100 from the top 50 we had done previously. We figured there were finally enough quality gay films to justify the expansion. And we wanted to break out gay documentaries onto their own list (You'll find the...

Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, Game Change Julianne Moore may not get an Oscar nomination early next year, but she seems to have an Emmy nod — probably the award itself — guaranteed thanks to her performance as U.S. vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin in the HBO movie Game Change. As the v.p. selected to run alongside Republican presidential candidate John McCain, Palin was a source of outrage, disgust, mirth, horror, and/or worship, depending on one's point of view: far-right Christian or secular liberal, Tina Fey / Saturday Night Live fan or non-fan. This year, Game Change not only earned Moore great reviews, but according to The Hollywood Reporter it has also become HBO's most successful movie — 2.1 million viewers — since Joseph Sargent's Something the Lord Made (2.6 million in May 2004). That's quite a contrast from the Sarah Palin documentaries that, whether pro or con, bombed miserably at the North American box office last year.

Game Change Teaser Trailer. Jay Roach‘s Game Change (2011) TV Movie Teaser Trailer stars Ed Harris, Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson, Sarah Paulson, and Ron Livingston. Game Change‘s plot synopsis: “based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin‘s bestselling chronicle of the 2008 presidential elections. Though the book covers both the Republican and Democrat sides of the race, Roach’s film narrows its focus to John McCain (Ed Harris), Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore), and their bid for office.”
I always thought Pailn’s nomination was a publicity, strategic decision. It seems I was correct.

Nick (George Eads) and Ray (Laurence Fishburne) searching for a Cs at the beginning, was almost indicative of Ray's search for Haskell (Bill Irwin). Who else would leave DBs in his wake. Nick comments on there being lots of manure here and Ray can smell it, can't help wondering if that was a snide remark about the B.S churned out by Haskell in this episode. No one was really on the ball, I have to say as far as Haskell was concerned. Rray nearly drives into a, "holy cow" as Nick says. Hey Nick should know all about cows from the question Gil (William Petersen) asked him: "What do cows drink?" All those seasons ago. They comes across scattered Db parts in a barn. Ray was oblivious he was stepping in manure. Nick Ids the larvae, as is his new specialty now, so they were dead up to 96+ hours ago.

Arguably one of the most hotly anticipated TV shows approaching the horizon is HBO’s political TV movie Game Change, based on the book written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann about the 2008 presidential elections. The show is set to star Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt and Ed Harris as Palin’s partner in failed candidacy, Senator John McCain.
And it is Harris’ transformation into the War Vet, and almost Die Hard name-a-like that has been released to the internet (via /film) to huge clamour – and rightly so, as if this isn’t one of the most impressive physical changes for a role you’ve ever seen, I’d be mightily surprised.

The first look at Ed Harris as John McCain in "Game Change" has been debuted via Entertainment Weekly. Wearing a suit and sporting white hair-do, the "Gone Baby Gone" actor makes a convincing impersonation of the former presidential candidate.
Previously, HBO has debuted a photo of Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin in the TV movie. The 50-year-old actress wears the trademark eyeglasses and the hair-do to resemble the former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate.
Based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's bestselling book of the same name, "Game Change" will revolve around McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, from his controversial selection of Palin as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election.
Serving behind the lens is Jay Roach with the script provided by Danny Strong. The two have collaborated for HBO's Emmy-winning film "Recount". Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, meanwhile, are serving as executive producers.

She might not be Tina Fey, but Julianne Moore can pull off a pretty good Sarah Palin. Looks wise, that is. The first image of Moore in her Palin costume was released today and I have to say the actress looks pretty good in that get-up. Game Change started filming today under the direction of Jay Roach (Meet the Parents, Recount).
Game Change follows Senator John McCain through his failed 2008 Republican presidential bid. Ed Harris will play McCain with Woody Harrelson as his senior advisor, Steve Schmidt. Rounding out the cast will be Melissa Farman as Bristol Palin, Larry Sullivan as Chris Edwards (Palin’s deputy chief of staff) and Jamey Sheridan as Mark Salter (McCain’s speechwriter).

Meanwhile, 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan is not amused, calling Sheen an "a**hole" and saying, "Charlie Sheen ain't funny to me. I think that's a train wreck and I feel bad for his two little kids because they're the bodies being pulled out of the train wreck.
