First reported by Eurogamer, the news outlet noticed that several fan accounts on X were sharing photos of what appears to be taken on the set of the sequel. Two of the images are of the run-down, infamous Freddy Fazbear pizzeria. However, there's something different about the pizzeria's sign in the photos. Despite being pushed to a December 2025 release, things appear to be slowly picking up for Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Spotted by Eurogamer, several fan accounts on X have snapped images of the sign for the infamous pizzeria, as well as merchandise stands for a scene in the film.

The X account Fnaf Movie Updates recently posted images of the pizzeria, which appears to be a little worse for wear, given the brush that’s surrounding the building.

Jason Blum couldn’t reveal details today about Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 but he brought New York Comic Con attendees the poster for the sequel to last year’s highest grossing horror movie.

Matthew Lillard is hyping up the Five Nights at Freddy’s sequel and teasing that he’s already read the script.

In a new interview, Lillard noted that he was getting ready to start filming the sequel to the horror film this fall.

“So this morning, I got a text with my dates. So, my dates are the beginning of November and another series of dates. So, we’re going to work,” Lillard told Collider. “I’m really thrilled. I think the script’s fantastic.”

BlumFest has found its lineup for this year’s Halloween season. It will kick off with the 2009 found footage feature Paranormal Activity, that will get a one-night only re-release.

Writer-director Oren Pel’s Paranormal Activity kicks off the fest on Sept. 25 in 150 AMC locations in 54 cities. It will be followed every Wednesday by a different Blumhouse movie, which will screen at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time, and include free poster giveaways and sneak peeks at upcoming projects.

Lights Out arrives Oct. 2. The feature was a breakout for Shazam! director David F. Sandberg, who wrote the film with Eric Heisserer. The film was not a Blumhouse release, but actually hails from Atomic Monster, the James Wan run-company that recently merged with Blumhouse.

We've known a sequel is coming for a couple of months now, but in May, Universal and Blumhouse shuffled their upcoming theatrical calendar around and revealed the release date for Five Nights at Freddy's 2, M3GAN 2.0, The Black Phone sequel, and a few other films. The Five Nights at Freddy's sequel is set for December 5, 2025. It will be released in theaters. No word on if Universal will simultaneously release on Peacock again, but I doubt it.

The sequel rumors started soon after the film made its dual theater and Peacock premiere. Despite getting mixed-to-negative reviews, Five Nights at Freddy's still proved a huge box office success (earning Blumhouse their top opening of all time with $78 million) and on the streaming service.

Universal Pictures has just announced (via Deadline) release dates – in some cases, new release dates for movies that are shifting around on their schedule – for five upcoming horror films… and every one of them happens to be a Blumhouse production. First up is the thriller The Woman in the Yard, which was once set to reach theatres on January 10, 2025, but was bumped out of that date so the Blumhouse reboot of Wolf Man could move from this October to January 17th.
