Malcolm Terris was born on 11 January 1941 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England, UK. He was an actor, known for The Great Train Robbery (1978), The Bounty (1984) and The Talisman (1980). He died on 6 June 2020 in the UK.

He was a boarder at Barnard Castle School in Co Durham.

Prior to going to drama school, Terris was a trainee reporter on the Sunderland Echo, the town&#39;s evening paper.

Brother of actress <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0855904/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Catherine Terris</a>.

Best remembered as Jack Ford&#39;s best mate in the series <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0074072/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">When the Boat Comes In (1976)</a>.
