Multilingual South African actor and producer, Stelio Savante, who has a SAG Award cast nomination for playing Steve in Ugly Betty, has signed with London based Harter Allen Agency for representation in Europe and the Middle East. Savante recently wrapped key roles in three upcoming films, all based on true stories; Sarah’s Oil, Between Borders, and Hazel.

Sarah’s Oil, directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh, is an Amazon MGM drama starring Zachary Levi, Naya Desir Johnson, Sonequa Martin Green, Garret Dillahunt, Bridget Regan, Kenric Green, Adyan Copes, Stelio Savante and Mel Rodriguez. The film will be released in theaters on December 25, 2025.

Between Borders, directed by Mark Freiburger, stars Elizabeth Tabish, Patrick Sabongui, and Stelio Savantewith Michael Paul Chan, and Elizabeth Mitchell. The drama is scheduled to release on January 26th in theaters nationwide, through Fathom events.

Jackrabbit Media has acquired worldwide sales on sci-fi sequel The Jurassic Games: Extinction and is launching sales talks with AFM buyers in Las Vegas this week.

The sequel to 2018 cult hit The Jurassic Games is written and directed by Ryan Bellgardt, and dives deeper into the lethal virtual game where condemned prisoners in a dystopian future face off against prehistoric predators in a high-stakes battle for survival.

Pinnacle Peak Pictures is bringing a slate of faith-based films to the Cannes market, including a new installment in the “God’s Not Dead” franchise.

Entitled “God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust,” the film will be released theatrically in the U.S. this fall, but, like the rest of Pinnacle’s slate, foreign territories are available to buyers. The new “God’s Not Dead” film follows the series’ protagonist, Rev. David Hill (played once again by David A.R. White), who, with the help of a skilled political strategist, runs for political office on a platform of preserving “religious freedom” and healing divisions. The cast also includes Dean Cain, who appeared in the first film in the franchise and is best known for “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” as well as Isaiah Washington (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Ray Wise (“X-Men: First Class”).

Who would have guessed? Everything But The Girl have returned in one of the year’s most surprising—and welcome—comebacks. The singularly idiosyncratic casting of Charlotte Rampling and Willie Nelson as long-married ex-vaudevillians who operate a combination trailer park, horse ranch, and performance venue could be enough of a novelty factor to attract some curiosity seekers to “Waiting for the Miracle to Come.” But the movie itself, a deliberately paced fantasia of remembrance and reconciliation, is likely to divide viewers into disparate camps of the enchanted and the enervated in a modest digital release from Spotlight Pictures.

Surprise surprise, we’re back with Another review of a karaoke game! What’s more surprising is that it seems Let’s Sing 2019 is the only update to any of this generations karaoke game franchises this year. So no head-to-head review for this year unfortunately. But what that does mean is that Let’s Sing has the entire karaoke market to itself – whether that’s a good thing remains to be seen.

Last year we struggled to find both Let’s Sing 2018 and We Sing Pop at retail – which is undoubtedly why this years game, Let’s Sing 2019, has made its debut digitally Before coming to retail later this year. What the issue with distribution is I do not know but I’m hoping a digital-only future is not on the cards. Going digital only would not bode well for the future of the series, or the genre as a whole.

A girl is forced to face her fear of clowns in the short film In Fear Of, which serves as the pilot episode for an in-the-works anthology TV series about phobias.

Directed by Mark Blitch from a script by Jason Walter Vaile, In Fear Of (aka The Red Balloon) stars Todd Terry (Breaking Bad) and Grace Powell (Jacob).

With a comic book-styled poster, horror comedy short The Code sees a couple's date go badly wrong when they are attacked by flesh-eating zombies.

But an apparent scheduling mishap with a chainsaw killer, a vampire and Bigfoot puts a whole new slant on the night.

Director Mark Blitch's six-minute, blood-slobbering monster mash-up won 11 awards at Houston's Splatterfest including best film, director, screenplay, editing, kill, splatter and special effects; and audience favourite film, story, kill and make-up.

Chicago – Hardcore movie lovers know the joy of finding a clever comedy or taut thriller that they had never even heard of before they went to the video store. What’s more exciting? Having your preview-determined opinions confirmed or finding something totally off the beaten path? It may not be perfect, but Russ Pond’s consistently interesting “Fissure” could be the hidden gem you’re looking for this weekend.

DVD Rating: 3.5/5.0 Perhaps it’s because of my theatrical background, but I have a certain affinity for small-cast, one-set films like “Fissure”. Like a lot of indie movies, “Fissure” keeps it simple in both setting and cast with only a few speaking roles and generally one set.

Fissure was released on DVD on August 11th, 2009.
