Tiburce is an independent director with a special interest in auteur cinema. Self-taught, he discovers the history of cinema and then directing with authors as important as Robert Bresson, Jean-Luc Godard, and the great directors of silent movies. In 1991 he directed a documentary-fiction entitled "They met Proust" in which four young women submit to the famous questionnaire. In 1992 he shoots the medium-length film "Nos Amours Retardataires" (Our Late Lovers), then in the following seven years, four experimental short films including "S'Aime Player Shoot Again" which wins the Special Jury Prize at the Festival d'Estavar Llivia in 1999. In 2007 he directed the short film "Une Femme Adultère" inspired by a short story by Albert Camus, 2016 is the year of the release of his first feature film "Juste Après Les Larmes" (Our Tears Dry Here), and in 2019 he shoots the fantastic fable "De l'autre côté du mur" (The Dark Side Of The Wall), a singular vision of the wear and tear of the couple.
2023 is the year of the filming of EJECT, a dramatic thriller that takes a cross-cutting approach to the subject of domestic violence, so as not to make, as the director puts it, "just another film on this societal theme".
Faithful to his vision of an independent cinema inspired by the experience of John Cassavetes, Tiburce has developed this "family" spirit with his collaborators, his actors, and all those who will want to integrate his future projects.
cinematographic. Multidisciplinary author, Tiburce writes and directs his films, edits, calibrates and mixes them and, if necessary, composes the music.
