- No [I wasn't a good student]. I wasn't stupid but I was bored. Boredom in school is the worst. My father had to take the blame a lot because I was a ruffian. I declared the classroom the stage due to disinterest in the curriculum. And I was aiming for direct confrontation. [How did that manifest itself?] I properly argued with the teachers. I had already read a lot back then, Brecht, Schiller, and I thought, the stuff you are presenting to myself here I don't need. A female teacher once left the classroom crying because of me. Today I think this was tactless of me. But I was longing for something to be interested in. Due to boredom, I doodled cameras and storyboards into the exercise books back then.
