Warp X sets first slate
LONDON -- Warp X, the low-budget film plan set by FilmFour and the U.K. Film Council with backing from EM Media, Optimum Releasing and Screen Yorkshire in March this year, on Friday unveiled an initial slate of movies that includes everything from comedy to horror to music. Formed to "revitalize low-budget British film-making," Warp X's first project to shoot will be Travels With My Virginity, a comedy road movie set in rural France in the 1970s, the organization said. Virginity marks the feature debut of writer and performer Guy Dartnell and theater director Lee Simpson and will be produced by Gregor Truter.
