- Anneliese Uhlig was born on August 27, 1918 in Essen, Germany. She was an actress, known for Der Monddiamant (1974), Der Vorhang fällt (1939) and La primadonna (1943). She was married to Douglas Byron Tucker and Kurt Waitzmann. She died on June 17, 2017 in Santa Cruz, California, USA.

- The film business was no subject for her after the war for the time being. She worked for the US special service and was foreign correspondent from 1946 to 1967. Beside it she wrote political articles for different newspapers.

After making five pictures in Italy she was ordered back to Germany in 1943 to be utilised for army welfare. She was subsequently employed as translator/caretaker for the expatriate family of deposed dictator Benito Mussolini who had been moved to a Bavarian castle.
