Hilja Valtonen was born on 30 September 1897 in Heinävesi, Finland. She was a writer, known for Vaimoke (1936), Neiti Talonmies (1955) and Varaventtiili (1942). She was married to Fredrik Valtonen. She died on 19 December 1988 in Imatra, Finland.
