  • Moved to Argentina where Chesperito has no right over "Quico" character.
  • Was also at "El Chapulin Colorado", starred by Chesperito.
  • Impressed his friend Rubén Aguirre with his comic performance at a party. Aguirre, who had been casted for "El Chavo del Ocho", recommended Villagrán to Chesperito, who was still looking for actors for the new show. Chesperito hired Villagrán who would then play Quico. Aguirre would play Professor Jirafales and Chesperito would star the show as Chavo.
  • After legal battle over the character Quico, he became friends with Chesperito again in 2000, in a special show of "El Chavo del Ocho".
  • Was a photojournalist during the 1968 Summer Olympic Games celebrated in Mexico City.
