- Bram van der Vlugt was born on May 28, 1934 in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was an actor and writer, known for Medisch Centrum West (1988), Unit 13 (1996) and Memorandum van een dokter (1963). He was married to Hannah van der Vlugt. He died on December 19, 2020 in Nieuwegein, Utrecht, Netherlands.

- Was best known for his role as Sinterklaas, the head figure of the Dutch holiday celebrated around November and December. From 1986 on he portrayed this character in most TV appearances of Sinterklaas, including his arrival, aired live on Dutch television, and many series, movies and guest appearances on other TV-shows. Although he quit doing the arrival after 2010, he continued playing the character in numerous other appearances up until his death in 2020.

- He was the son of Ellen (Stokvis) and Abraham Rutger van der Vlugt. His mother was Jewish, and was arrested by the Nazis in 1943 and killed in the Holocaust. His maternal grandmother, Debora (Farbstein) Stokvis, was killed as well.
