Carl Voscherau was born on 24 December 1900 in Hamburg, Germany. He was an actor, known for Film Without a Name (1948), Zwei blaue Augen (1955) and Viktoria und ihr Husar (1954). He was married to Martha Lohmann. He died on 24 August 1963 in Hamburg, West Germany.

His brother Walter Scherau (nee Voscherau) was also an actor. He has two sons, Henning Voscherau, from 1988 until 1997 first mayor of Hamburg, and Eggert Voscherau, since 2009 Chairman of the Board from the BASF SE.
