- Award-winning Director Paula Walker has worked extensively, abroad and in the US, putting her unique signature on numerous media ventures including commercials, documentary and short films. Her countless television campaigns include BMW, Mazda, Revlon, CoverGirl, Macy's, Bacardi, Maybelline, and L'Oreal. Partnering with award-winner director of photography Rolf Kestermann, Paula founded Strato Films, a commercial and music video production company. Paula has also directed music videos for famous music artists such as Tracy Chapman, Lou Reed, & Marc Anthony.
As a dancer and performer, the poetry of movement holds a heavy influence on her work. Drawing upon it, she has collaborated with innovative companies such as Pilobolus, Pina Bausch, The Frankfurt Ballet Company and The Dance Theatre of Harlem.
Paula has been honored with several awards such as the Silver Lion at Cannes, the International Monitor Award, and the Deutscher Kommunikationsverband-Die-Kappe (Germany's equivalent to the Clios). Her short film SEED, starring Francis Fisher and Diane Venora, received numerous awards at festivals throughout the US.
Paula recently returned from a trip to Haiti, for a documentary for the Clinton Foundation about the Citadel, one of the most important sites in the cities history.
Currently she is in development on a feature film she wrote, Lush Life. She is also attached as director to "Gramercy Park" the screen adaptation of the stage play "Gramercy Park is Closed to the Public," by Toni Ann Johnson.
