- He continued to work in front of the camera after the war, first for the cinema, later also for TV productions.
- The actor Franz Weber began his stage career in Hamburg in 1907 where he played his first roles at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus. In the next years followed engagements at the Thalia Theater and at the Volks-Schauspielhaus. Later he left Hamburg and he worked among others in Berlin where he remained his last decades.
- He impersonated his first movie role in 1920 for the silent movie "Der siebente Tag" (1920), it followed "Wer war es?" (1921). But it lasted till 1930 before Franz Weber became a demanded support actor in the sound film era.
