- The actor Oskar Wegrostek took acting lessons by Fritz Blum and Rudolf Beer, afterwards he gained a foothold at the theater. First he appeared at the "Deutsches Volkstheater" in Vienna from 1931 where he remained active till to his death. Other engagements followed at the stage "Literatur am Naschmarkt" from 1934 to 1938 and at the "Wiener Werkel" in 1939. Other theater engagements followed at the Raimundtheater, at the Wiener Kammerspielen and at the Stadttheater Wien.
- After the war he continued his theater and film career successfully.
- He made his film debut in 1939 with "Unsterblicher Walzer" (1939).
