Bronny James has a girlfriend!

The 19-year-old son of LeBron James, who is making his NBA rookie debut alongside him on the Los Angeles Lakers, just went public with his girlfriend.

Bronny is dating Parker Whitfield, who also has famous parents. She is the daughter of All My Children actor Dondré T. Whitfield and Eureka actress Salli Richardson-Whitfield.

Parker took to her Instagram Stories on October 3 to celebrate National Boyfriend Day and honor her man.

“Bf day. I love you!” she captioned a Disneyland photo she snapped with Bronny.

Bronny and Parker went to high school together at Sierra Canyon School, a private school in Los Angeles. The couple made their public debut over the summer while attending the Olympics together in Paris. You can see those photos in the gallery!

Sulayman Tahir’s “Peripheral” and Coke Daniels’ “The Waterboyz” were among the winners of this year’s Best of ABFF Awards, presented Saturday at the American Black Film Festival.

Hosted by Dondré Whitfield, the festival presented winners in the official film selection categories: narrative and documentary features, series and the HBO Short Film Award showcase. This year’s festival takes place June 12-16 in Miami Beach, Fla., followed by a virtual segment June 17-24 on ABFF Play.

“Peripheral,” which saw its world premiere at the festival, tells the story of a woman whose husband goes missing after moving into their new home, and strange and paranormal events that start to occur upon his return. Directed by Tahir, the film won best narrative feature. Andria B. As if serving as the creative director of the 28th edition of the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) wasn’t enough, Issa Rae will now sit for the inaugural “Creator Conversation” with two very special guests: Ava DuVernay and Kenya Barris.

The lineup for the 28th edition of the American Black Film Festival continues to get more star studded with the world premiere of the second season of Kerry Washington’s Hulu series “UnPrisoned.”

The African American Film Critics Association (Aafca) held the 4th Annual Aafca Awards today to celebrate and recognize outstanding work in the television industry.

Abbott Elementary was one of the winners, not only taking the accolade for Best TV Comedy but the creator, writer, and producer of the show, Quinta Brunson, took the award for Breakout Star. Apple TV+’s Pachinko won for Best International Production and Swagger tied with HBO’s Winning Time: the rise of the Lakers dynasty tied in the Best Limited Series/Special category.

The 2022 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) today announced the Best of the ABFF Award winners.

The presentation hosted by three-time Emmy-nominated actor and author Dondré Whitfield was an on-point wrap to the five-day festival with producer/director/actress Issa Rae acting as the Festival Ambassador.

The 26th annual festival returned live to Miami, June 15-19 and continues virtually through June 30 with independent films, the Best of the ABFF Awards and more programming on its custom-designed online platform ABFF Play.

The project follows two 20-something women who grew up together, were once best friends, but now are on opposite sides of the Military divide. Reign, from CBS TV Studios, chronicles the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots (Kane) when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis (Regbo), and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. It details the secret history of survival at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue. Prince Francis is thoughtful and very nervous about inheriting his throne. From ad exec-turned-writer/producer Aireka Muse comes a new ensemble piece about "a couple that decides to explore an open marriage and how the decision affects their marriage as well as the relationships of their best friends." Pleasant University with his basketball star cousin Marco. The main characters from Y.M.O.C., Latimore’s Jacob Matthews, his mother and his cousin Marco, were introduced in an episode of Bet’s comedy series Reed Between The Lines, which aired in December. I thought we’d covered this film previously on this site, but a search revealed that we most certainly have not, so here it is, along with news that it will be released in theaters this May.

The gist of it…

It’s called 35 And Ticking, an ensemble romantic comedy written and directed by Russ Parr, and starring Nicole Ari Parker, Tamala Jones, Kevin Hart, Keith Robinson, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Meagan Good, Mike Epps and Clifton Powell.

Plot? Victoria (Tamala Jones), Zenobia (Nicole Ari Parker), Cleavon (Kevin Hart), and Phil (Keith Robinson), 4 friends approaching the age of 35, are all struggling to build the families they’ve always dreamed of. While Zenobia is still looking for a man, Victoria is married to a man who doesn’t want children. Clevon, meanwhile, is too geeky to get a woman, and Phil is already married with children, but his wife is not very interested in being a mother.

Salli Richardson has given birth to a baby boy, her second child with actor husband Dondre Whitfield, back on Saturday, January 24. The infant, named Dre Terrell Whitfield, weighing in at 7 lbs., 7 oz at time of birth.

Dre joins Salli and Dondre's eldest child, daughter Parker Richardson Whitfield. Salli and Dondre themselves have been married since September 8, 2002.

Salli Richardson rose to stardom for her role as Allison Blake in "Eureka", an NBC Universal's dramedy TV series which she still stars in until present time. She additionally also has some starring roles in big screen movies, like "I Am Legend" and "Antwone Fisher".

Dondre Whitfield, meanwhile, gained his first acting notoriety on the sitcom "The Cosby Show", portraying the role of Robert Foreman. His other TV credits include "All My Children" and "Ghost Whisperer".

On the cable side, Todd Williams and Fred Weller have come aboard the USA Network pilot In Plain Sight. Emergency, from Touchstone TV, revolves around four friends from high school who reunite unexpectedly when each hits a crossroads in their lives.

Dondre Whitfield has joined the cast of ABC's single-camera comedy Jake in Progress as a regular. On the show starring John Stamos as Jake, a shallow publicist looking for more substance in his life, Whitfield will play a recently divorced old college buddy of Jake's. Whitfield is the second new addition to the cast of the 20th Century Fox TV series in its upcoming second season after the recent recruitment of Charlotte Ross (HR 10/28). Production on the sophomore season of Jake in Progress begins this week for a January premiere. Whitfield's credits include the NBC series Hidden Hills and Inside Schwartz and the feature Mr. 3000.

Sharif Atkins of NBC's "ER" has been tapped to co-star in the peacock's drama pilot "Pearl City", Dondre Whitfield has been cast in Fox's drama pilot "Ricochet", and D.J. Cotrona, the young male star of Jerry Bruckheimer's short-lived drama "Skin", has been cast in Fox's drama pilot "Hollywood Division". "Pearl City", from NBC Studios, is an ensemble drama set in Pearl City, Hawaii, that follows a diverse team of detectives at the local police department as they solve crimes. Atkins will play a new member of the Hawaii Police Department who moves to the islands from Chicago. Atkins is set to leave "ER" later this season after three years.

Dondre T. Whitfield has an appointment with the indie feature Beauty Shop, an urban comedy starring Vivica A. Fox. Whitfield will play a smooth-talking hairdresser and ladies' man in the comedy, which was written and is being directed by Mark Brown. The film centers on a beauty shop owner who is fighting to save a pillar of her inner-city neighborhood. A three-time Daytime Emmy nominee for his work on All My Children, Whitfield appears in the upcoming Walt Disney Co. baseball comedy Mr. 3000. He is repped by Steve Smith of Creative Talent Management Group.

Dondre Whitfield has been tapped as the male lead opposite Whoopi Goldberg in her untitled comedy pilot for NBC. Comedian Omid Djalili, who has a talent holding deal with NBC, also has been cast in the project from Carsey-Werner-Mandabach and NBC Studios. The show stars Goldberg as a former diva who runs a modest boutique hotel with her brother (Whitfield). Djalili will play the handyman at the hotel. Whitfield co-stars on NBC's freshman comedy Hidden Hills. His series credits also include the NBC comedy Inside Schwartz and UPN's Girlfriends. British-Iranian actor-comedian Djalili got the attention of U.S. TV talent scouts last year with his Perrier Award-nominated stand-up performance at last year's Edinburgh festival. Djalili's feature credits include The Mummy, Gladiator and Spy Game.
