Sir David Attenborough does not approve of AI being used to replicate his voice.
In a BBC News segment on Sunday, an AI recreation of the famous British broadcaster’s voice speaking about his new series “Asia” was played next to a real recording, with little to no difference between the two. BBC researchers had found the AI-generated Attenborough on a website, and said there were several that claimed to clone his voice.
In response, the 98-year-old sent the following statement to BBC News: “Having spent a lifetime trying to speak what I believe to be the truth, I am profoundly disturbed to find that these days, my identity is being stolen by others and greatly object to them using it to say whatever they wish.”
AI-generated Attenborough then crafted a reply, which BBC News played. “Let’s set the record straight. Unless Mr. Attenborough has been moonlighting for us...

After more than a year off, VH1 has set the return of “Basketball Wives”: the ninth season will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m., Variety has learned exclusively.
The fan-favorite VH1 reality series will see its cast members’ sisterhood tested like never before as they adjust to life amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the fight against social injustices, while still dealing with unresolved relationships.
This season includes returning cast members Shaunie O’Neal, Malaysia Pargo, Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, Kristen Scott, Ogom “Og” Chijindu and Feby Torres, as well as newcomers Liza Morales and Nia and Noria Dorsey.
Family is still a big theme of the show, as O’Neal relocates to Houston, Texas to be closer to her children; Lozada getting ready to move into a new home, and Pargo is ready to teach her own children about police brutality and how to deal with officers of the law.

Hold on, did Evelyn Lozada sleep with Shaunie O'Neal's ex-boyfriend Marlon Yates Jr.? That is the bombshell rumor that was swirling on this week's episode of VH1's hit reality TV series Basketball Wives. Shaunie's friend Tami Roman was being just a little bit messy when she brought the tea to Shaunie — even though Tami left out the names of those involved — and it was actually Evelyn's bestie Jennifer Williams who spilled all the tea during the cast retreat. Once all of the ladies sat down, Tami brought up the rumor and she said that Jennifer was the one who told her about it. Jen pretended not to know what was going on but co-star Malaysia Pargo took her aside to tell her what everyone was talking about. When Malaysia and Jen rejoined the group, Jen couldn't find a way to sugarcoat it, so she just blurted it out.

Ex-"Basketball Wives" star Jennifer Williams says she's fighting for her own safety and not a reality TV show storyline or ratings by taking her ex, Tim Norton, to court. We got Jennifer leaving the courthouse in downtown L.A. Monday where she and Tim are seeking permanent restraining orders from one another. He alleges she slashed his tires, but Jennifer says he's the one that's been stalking her. Tim's argument is that she's doing it for ratings,...

It has been a dramatic year for Evelyn Lozada, the star of VH1's hit show "Basketball Wives."
Between her highly publicized feud with her former best friend, Jennifer Williams, to throwing a bottle at cast-mate Kenya Bell following a heated argument, to the petition boycotting her "violent outbursts" on the show, season four has been the reality star's most intense one yet.
But when Star Jones called Lozada out on Twitter and her own step-daughter started imitating the scene in which Lozada threw a bottle at Bell, the Puerto Rican reality star says it woke her up to the fact that she's not setting a good example to young girls. And after taking a good hard look in the mirror, Lozada realized it was time to change.
In a letter Lozada shared exclusively with The Huffington Post, she apologizes for her destructive behavior on the show, reflects on issues...

Last night saw a special ‘fan screening’* of Transformers 3 at the BFI IMAX at Waterloo.
As usual, HeyUGuys were on the press line snatching a few moments from some of the people involved (and one high-profile fan of the series). Below are some of the more interesting conversations we had.
Michael Bay – Director
On filming in 3D:
You rely on the stereographer because they’re the one that’s controlling the knob, but I tell them where we’re focusing, what robots go where. He’s got to imagine with me where I want the focus to be. Jim Cameron was the one that really pushed me to do this. He said he’s been a little disappointed that people are using 3D as an afterthought, not a forethought. He knew I’d do it right.
So I spent a lot of time. 3D’s a pain in the ass.

About a week ago, the Campbell Soup Company publicized a bold redesign of its iconic label with the assistance of neuromarketing. Pundits promptly predicted brand suicide, decrying the company for using pseudo-science.
Is it true that Campbell spent two years studying only "microscopic changes in skin moisture, heart rate, and other biometrics to see how consumers react to everything from pictures of bowls of soup to logo design?"
Is it true that Campbell's would be so madcap as to base such a major decision on only 40 subjects and opt for new technologies over tried and true consumer feedback? That would seem like a recipe for brand suicide. It's an (mmm-mmm) good thing Campbell's was smarter than that.
According to Matthew Tullman of Merchant Mechanics--one of three firms on board for the redesign campaign--various teams were brought in at different stages to conduct different types of analysis, and each interacted with...
