The end looms ever nearer for The Conners after returning with its seventh and final season less than twenty-four hours ago. Only five episodes are left in the wake of the Season 7 premiere, and Laurie Metcalf has a much-needed warning about what to —or rather, what not to expect at the end. The beloved family of the Roseanne spinoff has had a very memorable run on ABC with a combined 17 seasons and nearly four decades on the air, but that’s all sadly coming to a bittersweet wrap soon through the latest season.
This season of The Conners is about to have some loose ends, according to Metcalf, who warns fans via a chat with People not to anticipate a satisfying finale given the “very short” time left to finalize the sitcom. She said:

Tim Allen's beloved 1990s sitcom is finally coming to Netflix. Home Improvement ran for eight seasons on ABC, and was a hit with fans, who made it a ratings success for Disney. Even former President Jimmy Carter had a cameo on the show.
Home Improvement premiered in 1991 and followed the life of Tim "Tool Man" Taylor (Allen), the host of a local home improvement show who is married to Jill (Patricia Heaton) and raising three sons. The show ran until May 1999 and was created by Carmen Finestra, Matt Williams, and David McFadzean. It's classic 1980s and 90s sitcom fare that became popular early on.

Season 6 of The Conners premiered on Feb 7, 2024, showing ongoing family struggles and adventures. The Conners season 6, episode 6 releases on March 20, 2024, and is the last half-hour before the show's 100th episode. The season is limited to 13 episodes due to production delays, and it may be the show's last outing.
The Conners season 6 shows no signs of slowing down as the television show continues with a new episode releasing soon on ABC. The sitcom, a continuation of the ABC comedy series Roseanne, was created by Matt Williams and developed by Bruce Helford, Bruce Rasmussen, and Dave Caplan, with Helford acting as the showrunner. The episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? covering The Grudge (2004) was Written and Narrated by Adam Walton, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
If there was one thing the early noughties had in an abundance, especially within the horror genre, it was remakes. We were graced with reboots, or re-imaginings, whatever you want to call them, of the likes of Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, The Amityville Horror, House of Wax, Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake from 2007 and The Ring. However, despite the decent quality of those examples, well most of them, one thing that stands out in the film we’re focusing on today, The Grudge (watch it Here), is the fact that the original’s director, Takashi Shimizu, chose to also take on the remake. In 2002 the aforementioned The Ring,...

Keshet International (Ki) has racked up several deals for scripted formats and finished tape in the Central and Eastern Europe region.
Ki has sold the format rights for Duo Productions’ 8 x 60’ relationship thriller “Too Much Love” (“L’homme qui aimait trop”) to Slovakian free-to-air broadcaster TV Joj. Originally created by Canadian writing duo Michel d’Astous and Anne Boyer (“Taboo”) for Bell Media’s Quebecois streamer Noovo, the Slovakian adaptation will be produced by Piknik Pictures (“Traffic Light”). Currently in pre-production, with casting in progress, shooting will commence later this year ahead of a 2024 premiere on TV Joj.

“Escape From Kabul Airport,” a documentary airing on BBC Two in September, will tell the inside story of the 18 days in August 2021, when the U.S. withdrew its troops from Afghanistan, and the subsequent evacuation of thousands of Afghan citizens from Kabul airport after the Taliban seized the city.
The documentary is an Amos production for the BBC, in association with HBO and in collaboration with Arte France. It is produced by Emmy and BAFTA-winning Dan Reed (“Leaving Neverland”) and directed by Jamie Roberts (“Four Hours At The Capitol”).
The film combines never before seen on-the-ground archival footage from the evacuation, alongside interviews with evacuees, eye-witnesses, U.S. Marines and Taliban fighters.
Roberts said: “When the images of the chaotic Kabul airlift flashed across the news I immediately wanted to know more about what this historic moment looked and felt like on the ground, through the eyes of the people who were there.

Yes, you’re seeing double.
Tim Allen reprised his role as Home Improvement‘s Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor during Thursday’s Last Man Standing. In the episode, Vanessa hired the former Tool Time host (who was sporting a vintage Binford Tools t-shirt) to handle a series of home repairs. The half-hour concluded with a very meta conversation between Allen’s alter egos, which also alluded to the Fox sitcom’s fast-approaching series finale.
