In 2021 Jacob started an independent artist journey, self releasing 'youtube & bbq chips' , and his EP " Lost But Found'. Released just in time for his 19th birthday, the EP was his most vulnerable project to date, revealing a new chapter in Sartorius' life in the digital spotlight. From catchy alt-rock beats to powerful pop-punk ballads, he brings an unflinching honesty about the ups-and-downs of his rise to fame: the chaos, the disconnect, the anxiety and all that comes in-between. Listen to the "infectious" and "sharp" (American Songwriter) EP.
He also filmed his first movie 'The Loneliest Boy in the World' directed by Martin Owen, a modern fairytale - with zombies. A satire and a celebration of family values, of the imagery of horror films, of suburban life, of the American Dream and of the ultimate taboo; death.
In 2022, Jacob released his song ' Fear of Intimacy' and released his debut film, Breathe: The Documentary. The nearly 25-minute film chronicles Jacob's trip to Amsterdam to meet his hero - dutch wellness guru Wim Hof, the creator of the breath work technique that started Jacob on his journey to inner peace.
