Aleksandr Zarkhi was born on 18 February 1908 in St. Petersburg, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was a director and writer, known for Baltic Deputy (1937), Razgrom militaristkoy Japonii (1945) and Twenty Six Days from the Life of Dostoyevsky (1981). He died on 27 January 1997 in Moscow, Russia.
