This past weekend, movie lovers on social media were once again debating theater etiquette. Wicked is full of memorable scenes and unforgettable music numbers, including a triumphant final act rendition of "Defying Gravity" by star Cynthia Erivo.

Quite a few McU-related rumors are doing the rounds online this evening, and we've gathered 'em together in this handy round-up.

We'll start with Spider-Man 4, which Daniel Richtman claims is now on track to begin filming next August. The still-untitled movie will reportedly include Multiversal elements (which we have heard before), and "multiple villains." Nexus Point News also believes that the script is currently undergoing rewrites.

Richtman also backs up another recent rumor that Marvel Studios is planning to move forward with a Deadpool and Wolverine sequel. Before that, there's a good chance the Merc With a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) and Logan (Hugh Jackman) will show up in Avengers: Secret Wars, and that may not be the last we see of Jackman as the iconic mutant hero.

Now, Hot Toys has unveiled its shockingly lifelike 1/6th scale X-23 action figure based on her appearance in the Marvel Studios threequel. It's a shame Laura never wore a comic-accurate costume, though we'd imagine that's coming down the line.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” got off to a strong start in its streaming debut.

Per Disney, the Marvel Studios film pulled in 19.4 million views globally (view is defined as total stream time divided by runtime) after six days of streaming, with the film becoming available on Disney+ on Nov. 12. That makes it the most-watched live action film across Disney+ or Hulu since the streaming release of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in early 2023.

For comparison, Disney reported in September that the animated film “Inside Out 2” accrued 30.5 million views in its first five days on Disney+.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” debuted in theaters in July 2024. The film not only marked Ryan Reynolds’ and Deadpool’s entry in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also saw Hugh Jackman reprise the role of Wolverine after saying farewell to the character in “Logan” in 2017. The next MCU films expected to feature many legacy characters are Avengers: Doomsday (coming in 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (coming in 2027). However, with over 50 characters rumored to appear in Secret Wars, it’s hard to know which of these rumors are actually true.

Alex Perez from Cosmic Circus recently reported that Marvel is considering including All legacy characters in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. This came up during his November Ama, and Perez is known for his reliable track record with leaks and scoops.

Perez explained that Marvel wants to bring back legacy characters like Tobey Maguire, Wesley Snipes, and Nicolas Cage, but not just for quick cameos.

After what can only be described as a tumultuous half-decade spent trying to get Marvel's Mahershala Ali Blade movie off the ground, it looked like plans to bring comics' premier vampire hunter to the MCU might've bitten the dust for good when Marvel Studios removed Blade from the release calendar last month. But at this past weekend's D23 Brazil fan event, Feige offered an optimistic update on Eric Cross Brooks' big-screen future to Brazilian outlet Omelete.

As translated and reported by Variety, when asked about the status of Mahershala Ali's long-in-the-works MCU project, Feige was quick to dispel the notion that a lack of release date meant that the movie had been shelved for good.

Marvel announced five years ago, at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, they were inviting Blade into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a new reboot. Five years later, well, Marvel’s planned Blade MCU movie has still yet to even find its way in front of the cameras.

It’s no secret that the brand new Blade movie has been bumped all over the release calendar the last few years, and it’s currently without a date at all after getting pulled from its theatrical release date of November 7, 2025. Not helping is that the movie is without a director at the moment, with Yann Demange (“Lovecraft Country”) departing the project in the wake of Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) exiting the film back in 2022.

Studio President Kevin Feige reassured fans this weekend at the D23 Brazil 2024 event that Marvel is still planning to reboot Blade with star Mahershala Ali and bring the character into the MCU.

Marvel Studios recently took Mahershala Ali’s long-delayed “Blade” movie off its release calendar, but studio president Kevin Feige is telling fans not to worry about whether or not the iconic vampire hunter will find his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Blade is coming, he promises.

In an exciting update from Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige has revealed significant plans for Deadpool and Wolverine, two of the franchise’s most beloved characters.

According to Feige’s conversation with Omelete, the studio is eager to explore every opportunity to integrate these iconic figures into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Feige playfully noted that the strategy for Deadpool, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, and Wolverine, brought to life by Hugh Jackman, revolves around their potential roles in upcoming projects. “We’re always looking for where to fit them in and how quickly we can do it,” he remarked.

Marvel’s anticipated reboot of ‘Blade’ with Mahershala Ali in the lead role has faced its share of hurdles, Kevin Feige, the MCU chief, assured fans that the project is still on track.

Despite a series of delays and directorial changes, Feige remains committed to bringing this beloved character back to the big screen.

“We’re committed to Blade. We love the character and Mahershala’s vision of him. Rest assured, we always update our audience when we shift directions or are figuring out how a project fits into our schedule,” Feige explained.

Originally announced in 2019, ‘Blade’ has been postponed multiple times, even being pulled from Marvel’s release calendar.

The project has seen significant changes, including multiple script rewrites and changes in key production staff.

It lost its director, Yann Demange, due to creative differences with Ali, marking the second time the film has been left without a director.

In the original concept art for Deadpool 3, Marvel fans would’ve seen some thrilling cameos: Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider and Ben Affleck’s Daredevil teaming up with Deadpool and Wolverine in battle. However, as we know, those plans didn’t make it to the final cut.

Among them was the only 20th Century Fox logo, of course, not to mention a Helicarrier, the Benatar, and a colonial ship many theorised might be Russell Crowe's vessel from Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.
