Martin Brest's "Scent of a Woman" was one of the most critically acclaimed films of 1992. Powered by an emotionally raucous screenplay from the late, great Bo Goldman, it's probably best remembered 31 years later for the hoo-hahing performance showcase that earned Al Pacino the Best Actor Oscar he should've won for, take your pick, "The Godfather Part II," "Serpico" or "Dog Day Afternoon." This is unfair. The film does run a tad long, and concludes with a conventional stand-up-and-cheer monologue from Pacino, but the length is excusable because Brest gives his best moments, most of which arrive during the film's second act, an abundance of oxygen. He lets his actors explore, which was catnip for Pacino and a blessing for his 22-year-old co-star Chris O'Donnell.

Movies about clones have been around for ages and are easily a fan favorite. Netflix's new movie "They Cloned Tyrone," which hit the streamer on July 21, is no exception.

Happy Friday, dear readers! While time might feel like a bit of a flat circle right now, the weekend is officially upon us once again, and I don’t know about you, but these days, movies are providing a very much-needed distraction. With that in mind, I thought I’d put together a list of horror and sci-fi movies that were released throughout the 1990s that you can currently stream for free on a variety of platforms like Vudu, Tubi TV, Crackle, Pluto TV, and IMDb TV.

I just figured we often spend a lot of time celebrating genre movies from the 1980s, so it was time to give the ’90s their due, and there are a lot of great movies from that era that you can currently watch for free via streaming.

The TeenChoice Awards made a splashy return to Fox Sunday night, and some of the biggest teen dramas were well-represented in the winners' circle.

Riverdale secured nine wins out the nine categories it was nominated in. It was nominated more than once in three categories, meaning it had 12 total nominations.

This is great news for the buzzy CW drama which benefited from increased ratings when it returned last October.

Shadowhunters, which was canceled at Freeform earlier this year was also well-represented.

The Greatest Showman, Black Panther and Solo: A Star Wars Story are tied with four nominations apiece in the final wave of noms in Fox’s Teen Choice 2018 competition. On the TV side, Riverdale leads the pack with seven nominations, followed by Stranger Things with five and The Bold Type with four.

Voting is open today via TeenChoice.com and Twitter. Fox airs the Teen Choice Awards live from the Forum near Los Angeles on Sunday, August 12 — live at 8 pm Et and tape-delayed at 8 in the West.

“Riverdale” reaped a leading seven bids in the second wave of 2018 Teen Choice Awards nominations that were announced on June 22 while “Stranger Things” follows with five. Both TV shows also figured prominently in the first round, which also included movie and music races. While this second set of nominations is focused primarily on the small screen, several categories also cite contenders drawn from the big screen.

The Teen Choice Awards take place on Sunday, August 12 and will air live from the Forum in Los Angeles on Fox beginning at 8 p.m. Et (tape delayed in the west). Voting opened on Tuesday, June 19, at 9:00 a.m. Pt and can be done at TeenChoice.com or via Twitter. Fans are allowed 10 votes per category, per day, per platform user ID. To vote via Twitter, tweet a category hashtag (please see below) with the nominee’s name.

Here’s some news that’s sure to get the River Vixens shaking their pompoms: The second (and final) wave of 2018 Teen Choice Awards nominees were released Friday, led by Riverdale with seven nominations — including two fan favorite ‘ships.

Following closely behind is Netflix’s Stranger Things, which snagged five additional nominations, and Freeform’s The Bold Type, which is sitting pretty with four.

Netflix has acquired worldwide rights to The Last Summer, an ensemble romantic comedy from Gulfstream Pictures loaded with young actors including Riverdale‘s K.J. Apa, The Fosters‘ Maia Mitchell and Teen Wolf‘s Tyler Posey among others. Shooting began last month in Cleveland and Netflix is eyeing a 2019 release.

Bill Bindley co-wrote with Scott Bindley and also directed the pic, which revolves around group of teens navigating relationships with family and friends over a Chicago summer in the months before going off to college.

Jacob Latimore, Halston Sage (Paper Towns), Sosie Bacon (13 Reasons Why), Gage Golightly (Red Oaks), Wolfgang Novogratz (Grown-ish), Jacob McCarthy (A.P. Bio), Mario Revolori (Sierra Burgess is a Loser) and Gabrielle Anwar (Burn Notice) also star.

ABC is pulling the plug on “Once Upon a Time” after seven seasons. Co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis had tried to take the fantasy show in a new direction this year after losing most of the original cast. Originally an elaborate plan to obtain funding for deep-sea filming expeditions, Cameron has stated that he made Titanic because he wanted to dive to the real wreck. As the writer, director, co-producer, and co-editor of the film, Cameron ended up spending more time with the ship than its actual passengers.

Filmed on a production budget of $200M, Titanic was the most expensive movie ever made at the time.

Hey, "Once Upon A Time" fans. We recently got an official press release from ABC for the upcoming "Once Upon A Time" episode 4 of this current 7th season. The press release includes a brief preview description of some of the things we can expect to see in the new episode. It sounds like we'll see some pretty interesting stuff take place in this one as Tilly tries to wake up from the curse. Victoria tries to stop that from happening. There's some intense flashback scenes and more. To start things off, they let us know that episode 4 is entitled, "Beauty." In their main description, they revealed that it will be Halloween in the new Hyperion Heights town. In light of this fact, Victoria is going to force Ivy to take Lucy out for a trick-or-treat run. So, it doesn't sound like anything too wild will go on with that particular storyline.

Is “Once Upon a Time” channeling Donald Trump with its Season 7 antagonist? The ABC drama kicked off its latest run last week with a premiere that introduced viewers to Victoria Belfrey (Gabrielle Anwar), the alter ego of Cinderella’s stepmother who threatens to close down Roni’s (Lana Parrilla) bar in the present day. Series co-creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke to TheWrap about whether they intended for the villainous Victoria to have any parallels to the real-estate mogul who currently occupies the Oval Office. “The show is not attempting to mirror current events in any direct way,” Horowitz said.

Hey, "Once Upon A Time" fans. We recently got some new teaser information for the upcoming episode 2 of this current season 7. These teasers are from ABC in the form of an episode press release. It sounds like we'll see Henry get into some very serious trouble in this one. This also the one where we see actress Jennifer Morrison make her final appearance as character Emma Swan! The title for episode 2 has been named, "A Pirate's Life." ABC's official description tells us that at some point, Henry will find himself in a very sticky situation and is going to call on his Storybrooke family to help bail him out of trouble. This is no doubt a flashback that will show what actually happened to cause Regina and Hook to end up in the new town Hyperion Heights. We're also going to find out what they decided to do with Emma's character.

Brooke Burke Charvet brought her husband, David Charvet, and two of their kids to the launch of the new safe ride app, Chrysler and Kango, at iPic Westwood and Tuck Room Tavern in Los Angeles on Oct. 2. The night's VIP guests got to watch a stand-up set from Heather McDonald, who also brought her fam to the event, as well as a special screening of The Lego Ninjago Movie.

Once Upon a Time is traveling to a new storybook in its upcoming season and with that comes all new villains. While the series has seen versions of Cinderella and her evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine, before, Once Upon a Time season 7 will offer brand new versions of the characters with much more to do than ever before.
