It’s only a matter of time before Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reunite, and it seems that they already have a project in mind. According to THR, Jackman is in talks to join Reynolds in Boy Band, a comedy about former boy band members reuniting as middle-aged men. I love it.

In what can only be described as saddening news, legendary actor Ron Ely has passed away at the age of 86. The announcement came from his daughter Kirsten Casale Ely, who told The Associated Press that he died on September 29 at his home in Los Alamos, California.

Ely was best known for portraying Tarzan in the NBC TV series, which ran for three seasons between 1966 and 1968. A time when action-packed TV shows based on classic characters were big commodities for network television (See: Batman), Tarzan maintained many of the elements that were popular with the source material, but it is particularly notable for not featuring Jane. It's also notable for the fact that Ely did the majority of his own stunts (and suffered some injuries as a result of that).

Wonder Woman is one of the greatest superheroes the world has ever known. A warrior from Paradise Island, a.k.a. Themyscira, she fights for people's rights and always chooses love over hate; inspiring such hope across the world ever since her introduction into DC Comics in 1941.

We've seen multiple live-action versions of the character over the years, most notably Lynda Carter's in the 1975 Wonder Woman TV series, and Gal Gadot's in the DC Extended Universe movies. It was thought that the latter would continue playing the hero for many more years to come as the Dceu was just getting started, but her future was called into question when DC Studios took over the helm as Wonder Woman 3 was cancelled.

Cast members from various Star Trek series will gather next week for an in-person and livestream fundraiser for Crooked Media’s Vote Save America.

Per organizers, those participating include Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Wil Wheaton, Jonathan Del Arco, Jeri Ryan, Rosalind Chao, Tawny Newsome, Eugene Cordero, and Noël Wells. Also expected: Mike McMahan, writer and producer of Star Trek: Lower Decks. The event will be hosted by Pod Save America’s Jon Lovett and Trek’s and the City’s Alice Wetterlund.

The event will take place at 4 p.m. Pt on Oct. 2 at a venue in Los Angeles and via livestream.

The proceeds will go to Vote Save America, which raises money for down-ballot races, state-level grassroots organizations and voter protection efforts. Tickets start at $10 per person for the livestream and $150 per person for the in-person event.

The event is the latest fundraising effort for Harris and Democrats tied to fandom.

The show's combination of silly action, funky music, and campy humor hit a sweet spot, presenting the title heroine as bold, strong, and capable, but also upbeat, happy, and capable of whimsy. Also, because lead actress Lynda Carter is so dazzling, many Gen-Xers may confess to having a crush on Wonder Woman at some point. The series was a hit, lasting 59 episodes over three seasons. Along with 1952's "The Adventures of Superman," 1966's "Batman," and 1978's "The Incredible Hulk," "Wonder Woman" was, for many decades, one of the most celebrated superhero TV shows ever made. 

"Wonder Woman" began its life as a 1974 pilot starring Cathy Lee Crosby, as a reimagined version of the character. That pilot didn't fly, but ABC was eager to do something successful with the character and launched a second pilot...

The classic Batman TV series inhabits a far larger universe than one might think. Starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, the 1960s Batman TV series is famous for its intentionally campy portrayal of Batmans corner of the DC Universe, yet the show is undeniably a culturally impactful and comic-accurate adaptation of Batman. Hot off her evisceration of Donald Trump in their first and likely only debate on September 10 on ABC, Vice President Kamala Harris herself will be now joining the live streamed United for America, it was revealed Thursday.

“What is essential to me is getting people motivated to vote – and that’s my intention in hosting this event,” said Oprah today. “My goal is to get people excited about the privilege and power of the vote.”

While 2013's Man of Steel was the first Dceu movie, it wasn't until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice three years later that this shared world meant to rival the MCU started taking shape.
