Dora the Explorer (the franchise, not the character — she’s still 16) turns 25 this summer, and Nickelodeon (and the greater Paramount Global) is going all out for the silver anniversary. The Frasier revival's season 2 finale wraps up a slightly improved sophomore year by sticking to its signature storytelling approach. It's no secret that when the Paramount+ reboot of the beloved sitcom was announced, it was met with a divisive response considering the risks of bringing it back. Prior to the debut of the "Frasier" revival on Paramount+, we heard a lot about how the show would present a different Frasier Crane. In a behind-the-scenes featurette, star Kelsey Grammer teased the new series with this summary:

"Now is the right time to bring Frasier back because he is not the same guy anymore. He is a little wiser, he may actually even be a little funnier, and he has a new mission in life. I mean, he's got some loose ends to tie up in Boston, but he also has a relationship to carve out with his son."

Meanwhile, co-showrunner Joe Cristali told the Los Angeles Times that in this new series, Frasier is "a little bit more comfortable in life; he's not as anxious [and] he's not the guy that has to prove himself anymore.

So far, the "Frasier" revival has shown a pretty consistent awareness of its origins, harkening back to highlights from the original series and paying tribute to the late John Mahoney, who previously played Frasier's dad, Martin. In fact, links to the beloved sitcom that ran from 1993-2004 can be found in pretty much every episode of the reboot. There have even been callbacks to "Cheers," the show on which Kelsey Grammer's Frasier Crane first debuted.

In the very first episode, the titular doctor pokes fun at "Cheers" with a joke about spending too much time in "a certain bar." Then, in the fifth episode, the writers used a "Cheers" joke to provide new insight into Frasier when he admitted that he never felt like he truly fit in anywhere — including the famous bar in question. When you combine all this with the fact the revival show brought back "Cheers...

In an upcoming episode of Bosch: Legacy Season Two, private investigator Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver) asks a favor of a couple of colleagues from his days as an LAPD homicide detective. Their exchange is terse and extremely one-sided in favor of the self-righteous Bosch. As he walks away, Christina Vega (Jacqueline Obradors) mutters, “Same old Bosch.”

“Same old Bosch” might as well be the actual title of Bosch: Legacy, which is among the least spinoff-y of spinoffs ever made(*). It brings back the hero of Bosch as its main character.

The 2000s were all about recovering from Y2K, wearing low-rise jeans and cargo pants, and listening to mixed CDs, though those eventually got loaded onto the new iPod. On television, reality TV got its beginning with the premiere of Survivor on May 31, 2000, and film franchises like Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Pirates of the Caribbean ruled the box office.

Movies in the 2000s also had some not-so-great trends, like torture horror (Hostel), raunchy frat boy comedies (Road Trip), and fat suits (The Nutty Professor), but the decade also came with some of the most beloved films of the last 30 years, including The Dark Knight (2008), Mean Girls (2004), and Iron Man (2008), which kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With all the incredible films released between 2000 and 2009, there are bound to be some that audiences have missed, and now is the perfect time to catch up.

Harry Bosch is returning to Amazon Freevee on Oct. 20 – and he’s taking matters into his own hands to save his daughter in a new teaser for “Bosch: Legacy” Season 2.

The drama series’ second season finds Bosch (Titus Welliver) working alongside Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) to track down a masked assailant who kidnapped his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) before time runs out. But as the FBI scrutinizes Carl Rogers’ murder, Bosch and Chandler are placed under suspicion.

In the clip, Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) tells Bosch that he needs to let authorities do their job to find his daughter, to which he replies: “Don’t cut me out!.” He also makes clear that while the FBI has to do things the “right way,” those rules don’t apply to him.

Perhaps the biggest release to date has been the first look at next July’s Black Adam film. Star Dwayne Johnson hosted the behind-the-scenes look at the eagerly-anticipated feature. Johnson was first attached to the project way back in 2007 and has been its champion through numerous changes of studio personnel.

Disney have found huge success in remaking their animated classics into live action, with the likes of The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast raking in billions at the box office. Fans are perpetually wondering which animated movie will be next in line, with recent rumors continuing to swirl that it will be 2001's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Well, unfortunately for those wishing to see The Lost Empire realized in real-life, co-directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale are now putting these rumors to bed.

"I've heard, so far, the only rumor of Atlantis being tackled as a live-action movie has been strictly on the internet," Kirk Wise said of the ongoing speculation. "I haven't gotten any independent corroboration of that."

Since it's fairly muted release back in 2001, Disney's underwater adventure Atlantis: The Lost Empire has become a cherished animation favorite for many. Well, the movie's director, Kirk Wise, has revealed his ideas for a once planned sequel.

"Believe it or not we did. [Story supervisor] John Sanford, Gary and I actually concocted an idea for a sequel to Atlantis. It had no relation to the Atlantis TV series that was being developed at Disney Television Animation. This was a feature-length, full-on, full-blown sequel to Atlantis."

Clearly the creative team behind Atlantis: The Lost Empire had big plans for a follow-up and were planning to fill it with all sorts of twists and turns. "We were going to have a new villain in the story. The villain was going to be wearing big, scary, wool, bulky, World War I-style clothing with a frightening gasmask to obscure its face; a little Darth Vader-esque," Kirk Wise continued.

Evidently, Disney intends to "stick fairly close to the animated film," and it seems that Holland is being eyed to play the role of geeky Smithsonian cartographer Milo Thatch, initially voiced by Michael J. Fox in the 2001 animated version.

While it might seem like a live-action remake of Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a strange plan for Disney, it could actually be one of their best ideas yet.

In a statement to our sister site Deadline, Nat Geo says its investigation “revealed no incidents of concern during any of our work with Mr. Freeman,” so “we have now made the decision to move forward with the production” of Season 3, which is expected to debut in 2019.

NYPD Blue alumna Jacqueline Obradors is set for a key recurring role on the upcoming fifth season of Amazon’s Bosch.

Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, Bosch stars Titus Welliver as homicide Detective Harry Bosch, Jamie Hector as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.

Obradors will play the fast learning and good at hiding her nerves, Detective Christina Vega, who’s been brought up to work in homicide. She feels the promotion has been a long time coming and is determined to prove her worth as quickly as possible.

Bosch is produced by Fabrik Entertainment, a Red Arrow Studios company. The series was developed for television by Eric Overmyer and is executive produced by Daniel Pyne, Overmyer, Henrik Bastin, Pieter Jan Brugge, John Mankiewicz, Connelly, Henrik Pabst, Jan David Frouman and Elle Johnson. It’s been more than three years since the end of “Sons of Anarchy,” but the next chapter is right around the corner. FX just released the first extended look at (and release date for) “Mayans Mc,” the latest series set in the same motorcycle club world as the network’s runaway hit.

Shifting its focus from Northern California to the state’s southern border, this new offshoot stars J.D. Pardo as Ez Reyes, a potential member of the group that gives the show its title. Wrestling with his tragic family history, Ez’s path brings him in conflict with his father Felipe (Edward James Olmos).

If that arc sounds vaguely familiar, “Mayans Mc” comes from co-writer and director Kurt Sutter, who created “Sons of Anarchy.” It’s his first return to TV since the fall 2015 cancellation of his previous series “The Bastard Executioner.”

If you’re wondering why FX has been particularly quiet about its upcoming Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Mayans Mc, Variety has revealed the somewhat troubling news that the network now plans to completely reshoot and partially recast its Latino-centric pilot.

Little is known about which actors FX plans to replace, but considering that Mayans Mc is set to undergo major reshoots, we imagine this shake-up will be fairly extensive. Prior to Variety’s scoop, the spinoff pilot had cast Jd Pardo as Ezekiel “Ez” Reyes, Edward James Olmos as Ez’s father Felipe, and Richard Cabral as Johnny “El Coco” Cruz – three key players of the Sons of Anarchy follow-up, so we assume their places aboard Mayans Mc are relatively safe.
