Serdar Akar was born on 13 October 1964 in Ankara, Turkey. He is a director and writer, known for On Board (1998), Offside (2000) and At the Bar (2007).

Graduated from Economic and Commercial Sciences Academy in 1985 and from Cinema &amp; TV department of Mimar Sinan University in 1994. Worked as assistant to several Turkish directors.
