Born Michael Drelich on the East Coast, Max Alexander (sometimes
credited as Maxwell Alexander) is a big-sized American stand-up
comedian who also works for television
(Hart to Hart: Crimes of the Hart (1994),
"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1992), "Hollywood Squares" (2004))
and played a few supporting or bit roles in a couple of interesting
feature films such as Sidney Lumet's
Garbo Talks (1984),
Fred Schepisi's
Roxanne (1987) or Nicholas Stoller''s
_ Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)_.
It comes as no surprise that three of the movies he was involved in are
set in the world of stand-up comedy (
Punchline (1988),
Milos Forman's masterpiece
Man on the Moon (1999) and the
much less palatable
Stand Up (2007)).
