Brains splattered, eyes pulled from their sockets, guts spilled, bones shattered, screams silenced – and that’s just one scene. Blood, guts and gore add the shock factor to your favourite horror films, and without ‘shock,’ there would be no ‘horror.’
It has become a competition between directors – who can traumatise their audience the most? In time for Halloween this year, War Games, the latest addition to the array of blockbuster horrors to make you hide from the screen, is out on Blu-ray and DVD on October 3rd. Torturous and terrifying, this twisted horror story – inspired by true events, sees an innocent group of friends hunted down by psychopathic ex-soldiers, who turn their country break into a bloody nightmare.
Shocking audiences doesn’t come easy these days, with so much gore and guts packed into horror films, directors are pulling out all the stops to ensure you’re left utterly traumatised.

War Games (formerly At the End of the Day) is the first feature from acclaimed music video director Cosimo Alemà. It's about a paint ball game gone horribly, and dangerously wrong and I think it looks pretty intense.

Whoa, deja vu, man... It looks like someone has already remade Paintball ! I'm kidding, of course, but there are similarities between that film and War Games , a new thriller we've just received the trailer for. The latter is an Italian production directed by Cosimo Alemà that tells of a paintball game that goes awry. It was formerly known at At the End of the Day . Sorry, this WarGames is not connected to the Matthew Broderick film, but it does look like it has a dash of Severance . We'll keep you updated when we hear of distribution news. Jason Voorhees proved paintball can be a dangerous sport in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives . Then Spain got in on the bloody fun with the aptly-titled Paintball . Italy is next in line with the paintball thriller At the End of the Day from director Cosimo Alemà. The film will be shot in English and tell of a game of paintball that goes awry when three ex-soldiers start killing the other players. The film will hit Italy sometime next year with other territories to follow.
