- Michèle Alfa was born on August 20, 1911 in Gujan-Mestras, Gironde, France. She was an actress, known for The Count of Monte Cristo (1943), The Count of Monte Cristo - Part 2: Retribution (1943) and Quartier chinois (1947). She was married to Philippe Plouvier and Paul Meurisse. She died on August 24, 1987 in Le Vésinet, Yvelines, France.

- She also hid leaders of the French Resistance during World War II.
- After appearing mainly in supporting roles during the 1930s she starred in a number of films during the 1940s.
- During the Occupation, she was the mistress of Bernhardt Rademecker, nephew of Goebbels , who became responsible for Parisian theatres and the Propagandastaffel. She had met him before the war when he was a jazz trumpeter in Pigalle. He would protect Jewish artists such as the actor Henry Murray, father of Anouk Aimée .
- Michèle Alfa was one of the most adored stars of the Occupation. Attending a performance of Henri Bernstein 's "Félix" at the 'Théâtre du Gymnase' in Paris at the age of fifteen, played by the very popular Gaby Morlay, she had the revelation of her vocation as an actress.
- In an attempt to revive her career, on December 22, 1963, she took part in a RTF television show "From Dream to Reality" during which she welcomed Monika, a child from Public Assistance, who dreamed of having a family for Christmas. For a few days, Michèle Alfa played the role of mother in front of the cameras, but as soon as the holidays were over, the young girl returned to boarding school and she would never hear from her and RTF again.
