António Alçada Baptista was born on 29 January 1927 in Covilhã, Portugal. He was an actor and writer, known for Prata da Casa (1980), The Jester (1987) and O Tópico (1982). He was married to Maria José Coutinho Guedes. He died on 7 December 2008 in Lisbon, Portugal.
