Anderson debuted when he played 3 y/o Glenn in "Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould". He then appeared in BBC's "EastEnders" as Billie Jackson in 101 episodes from 1993 to 2010. He remained in the series until October 2010 when his character Billie was killed.
He appeared in the 1997 film "Spiceworld" as one of the winners who fell into a river during a video shoot. In 2002, he played David in the drama "The Greatest Store in the World". He also appeared as Dan in the film "Thunderpants". His next role in 2002 was CBBC's "Ace Lightning" where he played Pete, the main character Mark's friend.
In 2003, Anderson starred as Taj Lewis, the lead character in the CBBC's sitcom "Kerching!". In 2006 he played Sonny Valentine in Channel 4's "Hollyoaks". He has also made appearances on "TMi", and then on "Doctors" in 2008. In 2009, Anderson starred as Kian Oduya in "Who Killed Summer", a murder mystery involving 6 young characters traveling through Europe and the UK.
In 2012, he was in a production called "Concrete Jungle". He also starred as Sinbad's brother, Jamil, in BBC's series "Sinbad" for one season, July-September, 2012. Anderson appeared in one episode of "Casualty" in December 2018 as a homeless man, Robby Watts.
